Bad Habits is easily Ed’s worst lead single.

If you see Worst and Ed Sheeran in the same sentence and don’t think of that album you’re wrong

Everyone hates the new Ed song, so it will probably smash.

I think I need more context on what I said. I really don’t wish for someone’s failure as a means of putting that artist down or wanting them to fail. I want them to flop because I think Ed is extremely talent, but he’s cashing in on whatever’s in. His new single is not really adding anything new to the synth-retro pop landscape that feels like it’s just from Ed. Ed has never embraced Synthpop in any capacity unlike his contemporaries. The Weeknd literally collaborated with Daft Punk pre-After Hours era. Dua Lipa make dance-pop music on her self titled. In addition, he’s not really reinventing something new from the retro music like Jessie Ware or Miley Cyrus. It feels like he’s Justin Biebering or Draking it up.

    RIP SOPHIE

Jazmine Sullivan really sampled Maxine Waters’ “Reclaiming My Time” on “Tragic”. Legend.

Rap Album is Cole vs Tyler unless Cardi, Drake, or Travis drops.

Planet HER is very middle of the road. It’s so bland and the second half is bogged down by filler tracks.

Yeah.. Bieber has always been generic but Ed is letting his chart obsession overshadow his songwriting.

Despite Planet H.E.R being basic, I’m happy Doja boldly included a pure afrobeat song, Woman. That’s unlike The Weeknd, Tyler etc. All born directly to 100% African immigrants, are all also aware of their exact ancestry, and have direct relatives living in the continent.

I mean, Beyonce is revered there for the risky Afro projects she’s made, and including the continent in her B’Day tour where she performed the Nigerian anthem. Drake too after One Dance.
