Grammy’s website has not updated the artists page since the announcement. What happened?

i’m wondering why is it taking them too long…

It’s weird. Normally the website is updated soon after the announcement.

I’m surprised Celeste did not receive a nomination in BNA. Much more surprised to not see her in BSWFVM considering the Oscar’s nominated her song.

I’m so sad Celeste’s album didn’t pop up anywhere cause it’s honestly so good.

Maybe they were afraid of another November 2019 when they updated a few days and are now course correcting in the other direction.

    Oscars FYC:

It’s possible. I also consider they updated the pages some days before the announcement but since there were last minute adds they need time to correct. I know the article only said GF but really what prevented them from doing in other categories?

A few interesting tidbits regarding submissions from this Billboard article:

    – As most here already knew, Lil Nas X’s “Montero” was passed over for a best pop solo performance nomination, Montero album and Taylor Swift’s Evermore were skipped in best pop vocal album, and Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” was shut out of best R&B song.
    – ABBA’s “I Still Have Faith in You” and Alicia Keys & Brandi Carlile’s “A Beautiful Noise” were passed over for nominations in best pop duo/group performance.
    – Jon Batiste’s “Freedom” was passed over for a nomination in best R&B performance (and presumably song of the year/best R&B song).
    – Paul Grein claims in this article that H.E.R.’s “Fight for You” was not submitted in best R&B song because Grammy rules wouldn’t allow it being both there and song for visual media, but I’m fairly certain this is inaccurate, unless there was a recent rule change – as recently as 2017, “Heathens” was nominated in both visual media and rock songwriting categories.

As for the best new artist nominees:
    – Baby Keem was passed over in best rap album
    – Jimmie Allen was passed over in country album
    – Arooj Aftab was passed over in global music album
    – The Kid Laroi apparently did not submit Fuck Love: Savage/Over You in any category, even though it should have been eligible due to containing mostly new material. The original album was submitted in best rap album last year.
    – Saweetie’s EP from this year was presumably not submitted anywhere
    – Finneas was passed over in pop vocal album last year
    – Glass Animals were passed over in alternative album last year

I’m pretty sure Paul doesn’t know what’s he’s talking about. “Glory” was nominated for Song for a Visual Media and Rap Song.

It’s quite possible RCA wanted recognition for “Damage,” hence “Fight for You” not being entered in R&B Song.

Please sign this petition to help the movement to revoke Dr. Luke’s Grammy nominations. He should not affect the success of Doja, but he should also not be awarded himself. Marilyn Manson’s nominations were rightfully rescinded, and his should be also.
