Jazmine will not have an easy win against the Oscar-winning “Fight For You” recorded by 4-time grammy-winner H.E.R.

That category is H.E.R’s category to lose

Where did Andra Day submit? And do we think Jazmine submitted her song with Ari to Traditional?

I wish voters would share the submissions now, the ones they remember since voting is over lol. I just wanted to know where Selena Gomez submitted in, since we finally got Miley’s too

At this point, Jazmine is her own worst enemy. She obviously doesn’t want to win a Grammy, otherwise she would’ve submitted “Pick Up Your Feelings” to Traditional.

I wouldn’t blame Jazmine. It’s her label who makes these decisions. I personally would’ve submitted “Pick Up Your Feelings” to Best Traditional R&B Performance but “On It” is still a great song. Just not as likely to win in that category. I also think Jazmine could still win against H.E.R. despite the latter being more of an obvious favorite. She’s lost before in this field. Heaux Tales has had support all 2021 and Jazmine’s been pushing it hard. R&B voters sometimes like to play make up to artists who’ve lost before.

@Boz, would it be possible to update your 1st post with some info (e.g. Coldplay’s “Coloratura” for ROY/SOY, Musgraves’ “Camera Roll” for ROY/SOY/Country Solo too) from this article (https://variety.com/2021/music/news/grammy-ballot-burning-questions-bts-justin-bieber-1235099402)? 🙂

I knew “Pick Up Your Feelings” was going R&B Performance. I don’t really think it’s that “traditional,” especially with the opening. It’s very contemporary.

it’s not traditional, I’m not sure why people was hoping it would go there.

RCA should do better then because submitting “On It” over “Pick Up Your Feelings” is ridiculous. Jazmine can’t and won’t win against H.E.R. For whatever reason, H.E.R. is catnip to Grammy voters. And like you said before, Jazmine was nominated for Traditional R&B Performance THREE times and lost each time. But honestly, it doesn’t make sense for her to win her first Grammy for Heaux Tales. It’s her worst project yet. I’m sick of her and RCA at this point.

Her worst project yet??? And why wouldn’t it make sense to win her first Grammy with this album when the reception from critics and fans seem to be mainly positive. IMO,  Heaux Tales is totally deserving of a Grammy.

Jazmine’s best chance is Best R&B Album for #HEauxTales. And honestly that’s where her focus should be. Not on the singles.
