Which rap artists can you see getting a nomination for BNA?

I’d say Baby Keem, Polo G & Saweetie have strong chances. The Kid Laroi seems like a lock, although he crosses over with pop too and I don’t see him as a rapper.

Baby Keem, Rod Wave and Saweetie. If Jack Harlow didn’t get nominated this year he would’ve been a lock.

Honey, Saweetie will be the only rapper nominated for Best New Artist.

I still can’t pinpoint what should be Drake and Kanye’s submissions. Both of them are so random

Other than “Way 2 Sexy”, “Knife Talk” seems to be very stable and while most songs from Certified Lover Boy decreased on the chart, “Knife Talk” increased. I could maybe see him submit that to Rap Performance.

    Revised Rap Predictions

Best Rap Performance **had 6 noms but not sure if that will happen anymore**

    • “Knife Talk” — Drake (with 21 Savage & Project Pat)
    • “Nobody” — Nas (feat. Ms. Lauryn Hill)
    • “m y . l i f e” — J. Cole (with 21 Savage & Morray)
    • “Jail” — Kanye West (feat. Jay-Z)
    • “Family Ties” — Baby Keem (with Kendrick Lamar)

    Best Melodic Rap Performance

    • “RAPSTAR” — Polo G

    • “Fair Trade” — Drake (feat. Travis Scott)
    • “INDUSTRY BABY” — Lil Nas X (feat. Jack Harlow)
    • “Hurricane” — Kanye West (feat. The Weeknd & Lil Baby)

    Best Rap Song

    • “m y . l i f e” — J. Cole (with 21 Savage & Morray)
    • “RAPSTAR” — Polo G
    • “Girls Want Girls” — Drake (with Lil Baby)
    • “Jail” — Kanye West (feat. Jay-Z)
    • “Family Ties” — Baby Keem (with Kendrick Lamar)

    Best Rap Album

    • King’s Disease II — Nas
    • Donda — Kanye West
    • Good News — Megan Thee Stallion
    • Call Me If You Get Lost — Tyler, the Creator
    • Certified Lover Boy — Drake

    1. Not too confident with these because I feel like its too many collaborations, but I don’t see it any other way.

    2. The more and more we get closer to the deadline, I don’t see J. Cole in Rap Album so I replaced him with Megan.

Surely “Jail” will be slotted in Melodic, right? The whole is virtually sung.

Right. And I don’t think he’s going to submit Jail over Hurricane. Jail will be slotted in Rap Song though. But sometimes they allow category fraud like Savage last year. That rightfully should’ve been in Melodic.

People are gonna clown me for saying this, but I wonder if NBA Youngboy can make it into rap album. He is already commercially successful without radio hits and lowkey acclaimed. If his album opens with big numbers, it doesn’t seem that crazy to me.

Already predicting his first nomination with WUSYANAME but still.
