I can see Kendrick dropping in September and sweep like he usually does.

I really hope that Streets can get nominated, and even win, Best Melodic Rap performance. But idk if she has enough support among rap voters.

She will submit this to R&B

    J. Cole should win easily if he doesn’t face competition by a Kendrick or Drake

Hope to god I’m wrong about AITO

I agree with this. Since Saweetie will possibly be nominated in Best New Artist, I think “Best Friend” will be nominated for Best Rap Performance. I don’t think DJ Khaled will be nominated for his album. The album had low critical reception.

If City Girls couldn’t get in for “Act Up” I doubt Saweetie & Doja Cat will receive a nod for “Best Friend”. But because Rap is so weak, it might happen.

Honey, people thought J. Cole would win Best Rap Performance for “Middle Child.”  He is NOT adored by voters.  I can see him losing Best Rap Album.

He was clearly competitive, but he was also going up against sentimental vote for Nipsey Hussle.

Didn’t WAP released last year’s August, before the deadline. So why everybody predicting it for 2022 Grammys?

    Rest in Peace MF DOOM

The album predictions are probably accurate tbh, although I can see Detroit 2 by Big Sean possibly taking Cudi or Megan’s spots. If Cardi releases before end of eligibility period then I don’t know whether they’d replace Megan with her, or have 2 female rap albums and get rid of one of the others. The Off-Season is definitely safe though, and probably Savage Mode II too.

As much as I’d love to see a nomination for Seeing Green, would Nicki still even submit to the Grammys? And Drake too?

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Once Drake releases, he is automatically my pick to win but I’m not sure if he will submit. At this point, I feel like Nicki and her team will try anything for a Grammy so I’m sure they’ll submit. And Cardi will probably replace Megan’s album just because by the time nominations are announced, Good News will be a year old. And Cardi is rumored to have big names on her album so I’m sure it will be even bigger than Invasion of Privacy.</p>

Songs are eligible for the following year’s Grammys as long as their part of an album released that year.

A good example for is Circles by Post Malone.

Honey, that is NOT true. Songs have been nominated the following year as long as the song wasn’t previously submitted. Doesn’t matter if the song is on an eligible album.
