Long time ago is an exaggeration, WWAFA,WDWG? won like 3 ceremonies ago. For the past decade, Daft Punk, Beck, Bruno Mars and Billie Eilish’s albums all won that and then AOTY. The album isn’t necessarily engineering bait either, so while that obviously doesn’t mean he’s locked for the win, it shows how well liked he is.

ABCDEFU getting nominated in SOTY while Gayle got nominated no where else is exactly the reason they need to bring back the BRP. Voters are clearly lazy and can’t be bothered scrolling past page 1 of the ballot.
