I just learned that Remy Ma and Griselda are amongst the guest artists on Mary J Blige’s album so they are also got nominated. Nicki’s going to be maaaaddd.

Taylor is still loved in a genre that she abandoned more than 10 years ago but completely ignored on her current genre 😭

But I do think that she got what she wanted, which was a SOTY and a BMV nom, and knowing her the way that I do, she won’t be fazed by this AOTY miss

The Music Film category awards non-fictional music-related documentaries, concert films and visual albums. “All Too Well” is a music video at the end of the day and should compete as such.

I laughed out loud when I saw ABCDEFU, it’s like the Grammy’s are a parody of themself. I’ve come to the conclusion that while a majority of music fans have interests beyond commercial pop music, their music tastes are spread out between such a broad number of genres and artists that it leaves top 40 voters as the largest delegation even if they are a small minority. Since there is no genre or style that represents the majority taste, voter power defaults to the largest minority. Then, when music people see mostly top 40 artists nominated year after year, they feel discouraged from even paying dues and becoming a member of an organization that they feel doesn’t represent them, further strengthening the grip of the commercial pop delegate.

Then we end up with ABCDEFU getting a SOTY nom. This is seriously just embarrassing. Grammys are an embarrassment. Almost all of this music is trash across almost all of the genres. Happy to see Big Thief and Bjork nominated in the Alt category. I am so tired of the electronic noms going to corny ass EDM music and pop stars who don’t even self produce (we all know that Becky is very liberal in crediting herself as a producer and writer when she contributes very little). Electronic category should be for producers only. Rap performance category should be for rappers only. DJ Khaled literally doesn’t even rap OR produce. Apparently you can be a Grammy winner without even being a musician of any form now. Blue Ivy is a Grammy winner. What a fucking joke. I’m out.
