I voted for 30 by Adele, but Renaissance or Un Verano would be great winners.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 15, 2022 at 11:50 am #120515409430 but the amount of vote splitting makes In These Silent Days VERY tempting.
The other thing is, and feel free to call this biased, but I think some voters are gonna feel weird about having Adele standing up on the stage and once again apologize for beating Beyoncé.
ReplyCopy URLI’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed. We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.
November 15, 2022 at 11:54 am #1205154120It’s Adele or Brandi.
Beyoncé doesn’t stand a chance now with Mary J. Blige in the picture. Adele is thee Grammy darling so she may be able to withstand the heavy vote splitting with all the Pop albums. Brandi has support from several genres, which we saw favour Jon Batise last year. Keep an eye out on her.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 15, 2022 at 12:09 pm #1205154197Personally, gotta be Beyonce (and should win).
But, agreeing with everyone else, Mary’s appearance here will take away some of the R&B votes from her.
I’d say I’m intrigued to see it come down to four: Bad Bunny, Adele, Beyonce, and Brandi. Kendrick will be honored in the rap categories. Harry and Lizzo could win in ROTY/SOTY or Pop or none at all (Adele says hi). Blige, Coldplay, and ABBA are just happy to be included in the club.

ReplyCopy URLNovember 15, 2022 at 1:06 pm #1205154498Damn, Brandi is rubbing her hands right now. I would like a Kendrick win but Grammy’s doesn’t like hip-hop. All the popstars are gonna split votes.

I 100% agree with you.

Not even remotely similar. Jon Batisite didn’t even win in the R&B field last year. He had a ton of support from elsewhere.

ReplyCopy URLNovember 15, 2022 at 1:24 pm #1205154563I voted Renaissance.
But brandi could make sense. Acclaimed, several song of the year noms in recent years, and compared to the rest of the people here, considered a Serious Artist and Underdog rather than a mainstream star.
