I do agree Beyoncé should have won AOTY by now, but I’d argue that her popularity in the R&B categories caused other deserving artists to be passed over. I think I would have given about five of her R&B wins to other acts.
These R&B wins could have gone to other people:
Best R&B Performance – Black Parade
Best Urban Contemporary Album – Everything Is Love (It should have been Janelle Monae who didn’t even get a nomination for Dirty Computer)
Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals: So Amazing (no one knows this)
Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals: The Closer I Get To YouI would change those wins for:
AOTY (BEYONCE)
ROTY (Crazy In Love)
Urban Contemporary Album (BEYONCE)And “4” deserved to be nominated and win R&B Album over Chris Brown but at least Love on Top won something.
ReplyCopy URLAlso why’re we even bothering to predict the winners. They clearly change the winners and the nominess to who they want! 2021 grammys was a clear example of that. Even now if all the big names decline, they prolly change the winners to invite some of them or give away them to those who’re there.
The way I told yall that the Grammy’s have been rigging the winners since 2021 and that’s exactly what happened today💀
ReplyCopy URLI think the producers know the winners already! They move categories where A-listers won to the main show. The random movement of categories between pre show and main show every year just proves that. Also they invite celebs to attend by revealing they’ve won sumn previously. Gaga’s last minute performance and Bey’s sudden attendence proves that. It’ll happen again this year. If no big names are attending then they’ll prolly reveal they won sumn to them and make them perform/attend at the last minute.
They invited Taylor and Beyonce last minute revealing they won something and the random movement of categories were also right💀
ReplyCopy URLThe lead singer of One Direction won Album of the Year. You put respect on Harry Styles’ name. Lol. Timberlake couldn’t do it and he paced the way for Styles. The Bieber Vs Styles argument is over. He won AOTY in front of his ex, Taylor Swift. I would rather Kendrick or Adele or Beyoncé win but it is what it is. And stop with the racism comments. It not going to change anything. If Kendrick had won, you’ll say Beyoncé lost because she was a Black woman instead of a Black man. Jon Batiste won last year. Move forward. Beyoncé has another chance next year. Kendrick…who knows?

also the poster who commented about 2021: the committee was still a thing then. And if you are skeptical of committee votes AND general votes, what are they supposed to do? Sometimes I think posters ascribe to “corruption” all decisions they don’t like. I have to say the “politics” comments in the HDD was not inspiring trust but what do they even know :/ there needs to be more transparency but even just the fact that we’re tuning in and here means that there is value left. But artists need to go and perform, or that value is lost. So what now?
