I’ve been chewing on this too. I’m thinking that if Brandi was signed to Atlantic, her chances would have dramatically increased but they’ve already got Lizzo whom they apparently backed  for both the Emmys & Grammys.

I also believe Harry is much more competitive than we think. A white guy(s) who does it “right” and/or sells big is always a force due to the demo of voters. Mumford & Sons, Beck, Sam Smith, Fun, Ed Sheeran etc. The panel learnt to block them but they weren’t here to block Harry.

As much as I love Beyonce, I think it’s Adele vs Harry, with Brandi & Beyoncé as possible winners. But it’s all a thought, I’m better at predicting commercial performance than the Grammys.

Adele is probably going to sweep again. Even with the surprise Emmy success, the industry really loves her. And stop acting like Easy On Me is a flop. It is the fourth highest charting song of the year.

Last time Brandi performed at SNL in time for a Grammy voting round, she was double-nominated in SOTY. Too bad she can’t perform Broken Horses again. lmao That would guarantee her surprise Rock field wins.
