MOTOMAMI would have been an amazing AOTY, something innovative, fresh and different. Not Adele with another borefest, not Beyoncé with being the last one jumping on a pop-dance trend using thousands of samples. This category is honestly so bland.
saying that renaissance hopped on a trend is crazy lmfao
ReplyCopy URLDecember 8, 2022 at 7:41 pm #1205184539Imagine when you find out that those who vote for the Latin Grammy are a lot of musicians (REALLY OLD, PROVEN) from all over Latin America and Spain. What happens at the Latin Grammy can never be a thermometer for the GRAMMY AWARDS.
There is a great prejudice against Urban music musicians, where urban musicians only win in the urban because musicians of powerful genres within the Latin Academy have prejudice against the Urban and Reggaeton genre.
The Latin recording academy is a great disservice for the current Latin music industry.
And that will never change because it’s the old-school musicians
ReplyCopy URLDecember 8, 2022 at 7:47 pm #1205184541I was so happy that Rosália was out of AOTY. I already knew she would win in Latin and that’s why I loved that she was left out. Tired of seeing her always win. Inside the Latin Grammy Rosália there is only all this hype because she studied music in college so this is the model of artists that they (Old musicians want to sell to the industry) I super agree with the Grammys she won for ”El Mal Querer” now the excess she won for parallel projects including Grammy for music with Travis Scott was disgusting. There is an absurd favoritism with Rosália
ReplyCopy URLDecember 8, 2022 at 8:47 pm #1205184573This is most competitive and exciting year for the Grammys in a LONG time. So many front runners with incredible albums. Anyone calling this year’s noms bland is delusional.
Renaissance isn’t just another dance-pop album either. The vocals, the layers, the transitions, the production. It’s incredible and the acclaim is deserved. Listen to Virgo’s Groove and you hear Bey do things with her voice that are out of this world.

30 is by far Adele’s best record and she switched it up. I don’t see how y’all don’t appreciate it… if ADELE wins I wouldn’t be mad plus this is a record I would want her to win AOTY for besides 21 & Beyoncé used samples but elevated the songs in a better aspect. I don’t understand why people are dragging her over this when multiple artists in the industry are using samples daily.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 8, 2022 at 10:33 pm #120518465430 being her best so far only speaks of how below average her previous albums have been. And common, aren’t you tired of listening to the same boring whiny ballads she’s been giving for years? And Adele stans want another sweep for basically the same sound which has already been overcompensated with 2 consecutive sweeps.

December 9, 2022 at 4:05 am #1205184771I think one of two things will happen….
Adele fatigue will lead to a Beyonce win!!! Or the two will cancel each other out paving the way for Kendrick Lamar or Harry Styles….
ReplyCopy URLDecember 9, 2022 at 5:13 am #1205184822Honey, there is NOT any Adele fatigue. It has been six years since she won a Grammy. Voters have been ready to embrace her in Album of the Year again.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 9, 2022 at 10:15 am #1205185224I am fine with an Adele or Beyonce or Kendrick win, just didn’t really care for the Harry album. I thought it was enjoyable, but definitely not AOTY material. The nom is a win in itself. I could see him going home empty year. Every yr one big nominated artist does it and his comp is stiff in all categories he is in.

i’m a HUGE Kendrick fan I just can’t see a scenario where he wins his first AOTY category with this particular album against THIS particular competition
This is Beyonce’s trophy. Anybody but her, even Adele, would be insanity. Harry would be CHAOS
ReplyCopy URLDecember 9, 2022 at 10:41 pm #1205186059I think Brandi Carlile has a real chance of taking it. She will get a lot of support from Country and American Roots voters. I think she’ll even get some support from Rock/Alternative voters as well. I don’t think voters will want to give yet another AOTY win to Adele.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 10, 2022 at 1:25 am #1205186103Fatigue according to who? Adele got nominated in every category she submitted to.

ReplyCopy URLDecember 10, 2022 at 4:20 am #1205186180Honey, the big artist going empty handed in the GF this year is Adele. General public is tired of her overcompensated repititive whiny ballads. As It Was will win the song categories not only because it is the years biggest song with insane longevity, it is also acclaimed and the fitting anthem of 2022.

sorry adele and beyoncé fans.
I read his interview in billboard and hated how he became such a hypocrite.
