What wrong did Adele do to deserve pushback? Grievances for outcomes should be directed at the voters.
Understandably, artists shouldn’t have to plan their rollouts around Adele & the Grammys but these past two years would have been optimal for Beyoncé & Kendrick had they really cared.
I share your sentiments towards Beyoncé but she chose to do this again and Adele shouldn’t be the collateral damage.
No shade but Taylor is smart to plan her album release around Adele. She is a proven Grammy darling.
Had Adele not released this cycle. Harry would have done VERY well.

I bet the bosses at Columbia would have loved for them to release separately, them three being in the same label, but they had other plans and are influent enough to do as they please. Other than performing in his regular concerts, Harry hasn’t even done any interview/photoshoot/special event for this grammy cycle.

Beyonce is the only artist who didn’t campaign for this years Grammys.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 29, 2023 at 12:15 pm #1205273813I‘m pretty confident that Adele, Beyonce & Harry all don’t really care about the Grammys. Sure they‘ll be happy to win some but it’s not as big of a deal for them as it is for the fandoms.

Sorry, I meant he did no promo as it is usual to do during the voting period. He did do some limited promo at the release of the album in spring / early summer, and the RS interview for his movies in early fall. My argument wasn’t that harry doesn’t promote his work but rather that he is not bothered to do something depending on a specific ‘grammy’ timeline as other artists instead might do.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 29, 2023 at 1:28 pm #1205273863Beyonce, Adele, and Harry along with many other big artists very much do care about the Grammys. They wouldn’t submit if they didn’t care. I’m not sure about Harry, but modest as Beyonce and even Adele are, they take Grammys quite seriously.

Gurl I’ve had the exact question since the day nominees were announced.

There aren’t any nominees for that one, a committee decides who wins. It’s a Special Merit award and songs that are five years old or newer quality for consideration.

A WIN IS A WIN!
