Sometimes I feel like there should be a musical version of the Critics Choice Awards and seeing how this voting body ranges from the young trend-seeker to the nostalgic snob only reaffirms it for me.

OMG well ammmm, sometimes I tend to imagine my own award show and the nominees I would put up based on Metacritic, Year End lists or my personal taste. I think the main categories would be Album, Song, Video, Emerging Artist and Producer. want to talk about it in Inbox?

What are those doing here?” This sample size of voters means very little but it continues to show how comedically bullshit the mentality of a lot of these voters are.
i bought the album, its really good. IN fact the ABBA album topped the charts in 18 countries worldwide. Sold more than 1M copies worldwide in its first week and broke a ton of records. May not be your taste, but it was a certified smash.

ReplyCopy URLTrue that peer recognition is the most desirable form of validation. I mean, even anger over not being considered for a Grammy rather implies a strong desire for it (Drake & Weekend). However, there’s still a difference between thinking “it’ll be really great to win a Grammy” and “how do I strategise to win?”. The attitudes of Adele, Kendrick, Harry, & Beyonce align with the former while Swift takes the bull by the horn (not a bad thing).
how does she do that exactly. She obviously isn’t very good at it since she has the lowest winning percentage of every one including Adele, Gaga, Billie, or Bey and has fewer than them all (except Billie). But, its still Taylor this and Taylor that. For someone with the least, and the lowest percentage, why are people so threatened by her? 1 Grammy in 7 years (that’s including 5 albums). I heard someone say she’s always at every Grammy show and they always focus on her. Please, she has only attended 1 Grammy show in 7 years. People need to stop the obsession, its really old and unnecessary.

Idk, it would be interesting to see something like that. They probably wouldn’t have the limitation of submissions and we would see nominations other than the Grammys (i.e. The Weeknd competing, Levitating Solo being included in 2021 or Cuff it gaining more support than Break my Soul).
