There’s a very possible scenario with a ROTY/SOTY split: All Too Well takes SOTY and as Taylor’s not up for Record, it’s anyone’s game.

If Beyonce doesn’t win AOTY this year it’s quite likely to me that she’d stop submitting her work, (and probably a few other big artists would be inspired to do so too) which would be the biggest blow they’ve probably ever had in the current discourse. The immediate backlash if Adele wins over her would probably mostly be an online thing, but the subsequent repercussions would be bad for the Academy.

Honey, these pundits are thinking like fans and NOT logically.  Renaissance is NOT winning Album of the Year.  Many of them were wrong 6 years ago about Lemonade winning.

Honey, 6 years ago, Beyoncé losing was already awful to the point of Adele herself apologizing for taking the prize. If the Grammys repeat the mistake, of course it will look even worse.

Lemonade is very different from Renaissance, which is far more pop and radio friendly. Although yes, the credits/samples will turn off the music snobs unfortunately.

Lemonade was a more serious album than Renaissance and took itself very seriously. Renaissance is a fun, full of club tracks and energy.
