At least Variety has stopped predicting a ROTY/SOTY split, which is a move in the right direction, even if the picked song itself is wrong.
You can always tell which publication has no idea about the Grammys when they predict two different songs for ROTY and SOTY.

As I have stated before, AOTY is a Beyonce and Brandi duel.
ROTY/SOTY is Harry’s because As It Was is undeniable. Last year saw the fall of Billie as a Grammy darling, this year is Adele’s turn.
2023 is the year Grammys finally acknowledge Harry whom they have blocked in the GF categories in 2021 for being an ex-boybander. There is a narrative of triumph against his boy band image there and I’m sure the Grammys are not anymore going to deny him his due.
ReplyCopy URLI am seeing only 3 major scenarios happen in regards to the GF. – Scenario #1: Adele wins all of the big 3. – Scenario #2: Brandi wins AOTY, Harry wins ROTY & SOTY – Scenario #3: Bey wins AOTY, Harry wins ROTY & SOTY My reasoning is I firmly believe that: – (within the GF) it will be all-or-nothing for Adele. Either voters keep up their mass adoration towards her, or they drop her (à la Billie). – In the case of Adele being dropped, then Harry rises as the ROTY/SOTY frontrunner. His song has the numbers and the acclaim. However, I strongly believe he doesn’t have what it takes to go 3/3 by winning AOTY. – With a Brandi win there might be a small chance that she could also win ROTY if she takes AOTY, but I think the pop vote will be too solidified on Harry for an upset like that to happen (vs. in AOTY where I think Pop vote will be distributed more between Adele, Harry, and Bey). – If Bey can pull of a RENAISSANCE AOTY win, I don’t think BMS would be coming along with the ride. The album has a lot more passion than that song itself.

If Beyonce were to win AOTY she would be only4th Black female artist in Grammy history to achieve the top prize. I’ve read in the past where she said 4 was her favorite number.
Sunday’s date adds up to 4 at root.
Renaissance is her 4th AOTY nomination, following I Am…, Beyonce and Lemonade.
I’m almost certain she’s going to win AOTY.
