Would love to see London by BIA ft. J. Cole get some nominations in the rap categories. It’s a bop! Hoping for Doja too, but I don’t think Get It Into (Yuh) or Freaky Deaky are strong contenders in this field.

    Initial Predictions

    Best Rap Album
    TBA – Future
    DS4Ever – Gunna
Come Home The Kids Miss You – Jack Harlow
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers – Kendrick Lamar
    It’s Almost Dry – Pusha T

    Best Rap Performance
    Hermès Astronaut – Future
    Nail Tech – Jack Harlow
    TBA – Kendrick Lamar
In A Minute – Lil Baby
    Neck & Wrist – Pusha T ft. Jay-Z & Pharell Williams

    Best Melodic Rap Performance
City Of Gods – Fivio Foreign, Kanye West & Alicia Keys
Pushin P – Gunna & Future ft. Young Thug
    First Class – Jack Harlow
    TBA – Kendrick Lamar
Big Energy – Latto (?, could see this going pop solo

    Best Rap Song
    Big Energy – Latto
Bubbly – Young Thug with Travis Scott & Drake
City Of Gods – Fivio Foreign, Kanye West & Alicia Keys
    First Class – Jack Harlow
    TBA – Kendrick Lamar

I think they’ll say no to Kodak and Super Gremlin. He’s the exact type of artist rap voters tend not to like.
Fly As Me would fit in melodic but I’m assuming that because Silk Sonic didn’t submit Skate to pop last year, they’ll only be submitting to R&B.

Freaky Deaky for Melodic Rap please. Get Into It (Yuh) also but I feel like it may be too old by the time voting starts. Freaky will peak during the Summer.

Freaky Deaky and Get Into It (Yuh) both being nominated would be such a gag! However, I would like the latter to be nominated more and it could possibly be a hit within the next few months since it’s top 20 and 25 on Pop and Rhythmic radios.

If Snoop Dogg’s collab with BTS is released this year (which is likely), it could be a contender.

hopefully Conway the Machine and Denzel Curry get nominations this year. Homies have been putting out fire and consistent project after consistent project

The Pusha projections are pretty good. I think he should be able to get in rap album and would not be surprised if he gets in all 4 categories.

Unless Kendrick’s material is a complete bomb, I don’t see how he doesn’t sweep the rap field again. He picked the perfect year to release. The ball is in his court.

I just know there are tons of people who just delayed their albums release to next cycle. I know lots of artists don’t care about the grammys enough to change dates like that, but Kendrick will have THE big rap album of the year and sales, acclaim and awards will reflect that. If you have a fan base maybe, but if he goes down the dual path of commercial/critical work he did with DAMN, all of the hip-hop listeners will be streaming him as THE new rap album.
