I don’t think there will be riots because Adele winning over Beyonce and Kendrick but she’s not the safe choice in the line-up. I can see the backlash.

this is adele’s most likely gf category to win, people aren’t that crazy about kendrick or beyonces songs here compared to their nominations here in other years and easy on me is a very accessible song

Bro, you wrote a whole article about As It Was being bigger than Blinding Lights but you forgot one thing, Blinding Lights is literally the #1 song at all time charts. I don’t care about Netherlands. Harry might win Grammy(s) but don’t wrote a whole article about As It Was being bigger than Blinding Lights.

It wasn’t the #1 song on Billboard’s all time chart when voting happened, my friend. It takes a while to get there. It literally charted for 90 weeks and voting happened around week 45. The stats I gave for As It Was are for right now, which is when voting is happening. 15 weeks at #1 and the longest charting top 3 in Billboard history, you realize that’s significantly bigger than Blinding Lights, right?

you’re acting like 25 beating lemonade had no impact outside of twitter

Firstly, Renaissance is not Lemonade and 30 is not 25, secondly, where is Lemonade now, this album is safely forgotten.
I’m talking about how Adele’s win won’t go off twitter this time.

Lmao riots? Y’all are fucking clowns. No one in the general public gives a fuck about the Grammys. The only people in uproar will be this stupid forum. You damn people had a meltdown over the AMAs! 😂

Congratulations 12 Time Grammy Winner Taylor Swift!

I’m not talking about during voting, i’m talking about overall also Blinding Lights topped the 2020 list. I don’t care about how long As It Was stayed at the charts because people can manipulate the charts.

The guys who wrote As It Was just won Songwriters of the Year at the Variety awards. Where is that poster saying Harry’s music isn’t taken seriously by the industry now?

There will be backlash if Adele wins AOTY over Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé but if Harry wins, it would be celebrated? Harry must have some black in him that I don’t know about. This side of the board has really become dumb. That’s exactly why it doesn’t get as much attention as the other boards on GD.

I’m not talking about during voting, i’m talking about overall also Blinding Lights topped the 2020 list. I don’t care about how long As It Was stayed at the charts because people can manipulate the charts.

Blinding Lights topped the 2020 list because it came out in late 2019, at the exact same time as Billboard starts their calendar year for 2020 (November 2019-November 2020). As It Was came out in April 2022, six months after Billboard’s calendar year started, and it managed to get #2, behind Heat Waves only (Heat Waves got to #1 for the same reason Blinding Lights got it in 2019: it was already big by the time the calendar year started for 2022).

How did As It Was manipulate the charts. It has no reversions, no remixes, no instrumentals, nothing. It didn’t have physicals, there’s no vinyls you can buy, or anything of the sort. It’s just the song bare bones. None of its weeks had a majority of radio points either (but some of the weeks where it WASN’T #1, when it was beaten by First Class or About Damn Time… were).

If you’re gonna talk about charts, do the actual research because what you’re saying makes no sense and is backed up by no arguments.

I know it’s hard to wrap your mind around it but As It Was is simply bigger than Blinding Lights, on a week by week basis, which is what matters for the argument you presented. We’ll see how long(er) term goes.
