Honey, Harry Styles was NOT competing against Adele when he won Best Pop Solo Performance.  No fucking way he gets more votes than her.

Adele stans are deliberately choosing to ignore the implications of the total Billie shutout last year. A white Grammy Darling sweeping 4  GF categories in 2020, winning 2 including 1 GF in 2021 then going 0/6 in 2022.

The overly rewarded white Grammy Darlings are falling out of favor. Few days from now, it’s Adele’s turn to whine and weep on her first Grammy heartbreak. 😭

Just because Adele won for 21 and 25, you think she’ll always win. You no doubt thought Billie would win last year too, and Taylor will win next. But it’s not the same as it was. There are no sacred cows anymore, especially a singer who angered many Grammy voters by cancelling her residency with 24 hours notice, when they’d already paid for air fares and hotels. I don’t feel she has the good will of the industry in the same way these days. She has a rep for being lazy and difficult.

The “Grammy darling” title was given to Billie Eilish a bit too prematurely. Adele has been winning since 09. There’s no comparison.

Huns, if Adele swept the Emmys what makes ya think she’s not positioned to easily do the same at the Grammys. No other musician is loved by the industry like Adele. Girl is only a Tony away from EGOT.

Harry Styles won for water melon sugar in a VERY weak race and Beyonce is in her flop Era that no one cares about. We know Jay-z bought those noms for her. Beyonce never wins competitive races. that’s why her 30 grammys are mostly from the recycled categories.

Yes hon, a black woman can never win a Grammy without buying them. Thank you for speaking in behalf of all the delusional Adele stans here.

That’s why I find Adele pretentious. The nerve of her claiming that Beyonce deserved that AOTY win more than her when Beyonce could only win by buying it. 🤡

I refreshed myself on who was nominated in Pop Solo that year, and he was up against “Say So”, “Don’t Start Now”, “cardigan” AND “everything i wanted”, which won Record of the Year that night. To me, that’s not a ‘very weak’ race at all, and it’s incredible that he managed to beat out Billie. Any of the other nominees (besides “Yummy”, of course) would’ve been a much better winner than “Watermelon Sugar”.

Billie lost to Lizzo after sweeping the general field with “Bad Guy,” so maybe Billie’s weak spot is with pop voters. Not shocking EIW lost to at least one #1 hit.

If Harry could beat a Grammy darling with watermelon sugar, then one of the biggest song of all time As It Was is definitely beating the forgotten EOM in all song categories. 😁

Billy is not the grammy darling Adele is, Adele is the only artist that has sweep the big 3 twice. Also, Billie’s second album didn’t have a hit neither had actual longevity, she hasn’t won BPSP, but she has won in the GF, so the voting can differ in both fields.

Variety interviewed five Grammy voters about their picks and Adele was barely mentioned. Harry was chosen by 2/5 voters for ROTY, by one for SOTY and by one for AOTY. Adele wasn’t chosen by any of the five for any category.

    Voter 1

    Soty: Steve Lacy
    Roty: Steve Lacy
    Aoty: Kendrick
    BNA: Wet Leg

    Voter 2:

    Soty: As It Was
    Roty: Lizzo
    Aoty: Brandi
    Bna: Wet Leg

    Voter 3

    Soty: Steve Lacy
    Roty: As It Was
    Aoty: Harry’s House
    Bna: Omar Apollo

    Voter 4:

    Soty: Lizzo
    Roty: Abba
    Aoty: Abba
    Bna: Molly Tuttle

    Voter 5

    Soty: All Too Well
    Roty: As It Was
    Aoty: Coldplay
    Bna: Maneskin

Now we should know by now that those sampled ‘voters’ don’t make or break the race. Do we have the sampled ‘voters’ from last year?

The Songsmith: “Peaches” had the largest ripple effect on music. It was a hit around the world, and I felt like it was a breath of fresh air.
The Pop Poet: “Montero” and “Kiss Me More” are absolute bangers that I think we’ll be listening to for years to come. It’s a toss-up for me!
The Countryman: “Right on Time.” I think — besides this song being just a knockout — if it wins, pop music is going to get a lot deeper and more organic.

The Songsmith: Justice has its seventh single on the charts right now. You can’t say that about any of these other albums.
The Pop Poet: Montero: writing on point, artistry on point, production on point. This album lifted a lot of spirits in a weird year.
The Countryman: Donda. With as brash and off-the-map as Kanye can be, he turned around and delivered one of the most addictively fresh hip-hop albums in years.

The Songsmith: I have to say “Peaches” again, because you can’t produce the best record without it being the best[-written] song.
The Pop Poet: “Door Open” feels like an instant classic, and “Kiss Me More” is a bop and a half, but “drivers license” stole everybody’s broken little hearts.
The Countryman: “Right on Time.” Brandi and her co-writers deliver another instant classic, hearkening back to the types of songs written in the first half of the 20th century.

I actually want Kendrick to win this one. It really feels like a safer choice and meaningful win also if they wanna celebrate hip-hop’s 50 years i don’t think a better way and it’s the best song there.

They forgot the R&B and Rap voters allience. The songsmith is the #1 Bieber fanboy/fangirl all over the place.

I got you stuck in the realness
