You kind of reached when you put Rock voting for All Too Well, yeah sure Pop and Country will vote for that song but Rock is not likely. They will probably vote for Bonnie Raitt. Actually she has won a lot of Grammys in different genres.

I got you stuck in the realness

As It Was has that post pandemic resonance, whereas Easy On Me is yet another basic break up song, with Adele doing some special pleading: ‘I was just a child…’

No, honey – you were 24 and worth $50m. Hardly an innocent broad.

This is so nasty and mean spirited you just have to giggle

Taylor does have a chance here. All Too Well has a cult around it, and when there are 10 nominees, the threshold for winning isn’t too high and you certainly don’t need an outright majority to win, just a passionate small relative majority.

I have Taylor third in my SOTY predictions so I wouldn’t be surprised if she wins.

    Yes, a fan cult.
The industry however doesn’t care for it like that.

The threshold to get nominated is even lower, since lack of voter participation in the first round of voting is well documented.
So if the song indeed had a passionate following within the music industry, it wouldn’t have missed out on key nominations.

It only got into SOTY due to alphabetical advantage and into Music Video due to an unprecedented, year long campaign of the short film.

The ROTY and Pop Solo nominations were the true tests of passion, since voters would have to actively seek the song out themselves due to its low placement on the ballot (something As It Was overcame for example), and yet it failed in both categories because there is no industry passion for All Too Well.

I’m sorry but this is giving “Here’s how Taylor Swift can still win SOTY”.

Just Like That is literally an Americana song. All Too Well is not getting unanimous support from American Roots voters. They voted for Bonnie Raitt because Brandi Carlile’s song was in the bottom of the ballot.

Abcdefu having support from Rock voters but not Just Like That is also sending me.

Rock voters don’t care about Avril Lavigne and ignored Miley Cyrus & Demi Lovato’s pretentious “I’m a rocker now” eras, barely voted for MGK, but  they’ll sure support Abcdefu.

Even Bad Habit is more likely to receive some love from Alt/Rock voters.

That being said, All Too Well is 100% in the top 5. I’d say even top 3.

    • All Too Well
    • As It Was
    • Break My Soul
    • Easy On Me
    • Just Like That

is a hypothetical top 5 in no order

Two and a half months later and I still can’t predict who will get this. It’s very clearly Harry vs Adele in my opinion [though I’d say “The Heart Part 5” and “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” would be my first picks].

I love both of these songs. Adele is Adele and I can see her getting rewarded for “Easy On Me” instead of the album. It’s also pure Grammy bait. Harry had the biggest song of the year (and one of the biggest of the decade), and a more popular album. He’s getting more and more industry support and now would be a good time for his first GF win.

Is Taylor actually going to the Grammys? She’s pretty much based in London at this point while also in tour rehearsals. I can’t imagine she’s going unless she knows she’s winning something. I have her winning SOTY because it sounds as if she’ll be there, but if it’s debunked then I need to switch to As It Was or Easy On Me.

Huns, if Adele swept the Emmys what makes ya think she’s not positioned to easily do the same at the Grammys. No other musician is loved by the industry like Adele. Girl is only a Tony away from EGOT. Harry Styles won for water melon sugar in a VERY weak race and Beyonce is in her flop Era that no one cares about. We know Jay-z bought those noms for her. Beyonce never wins competitive races. that’s why her 30 grammys are mostly from the recycled categories.

The pure unadulterated DELUSION in this post LMAO

Her only realistic chance is music video
But that might be enough for her to attend, after the massive campaign that video got only to get snubbed by its main target (The Oscars), this would be a cute consolation prize

I love how the Adele deniers compare her to Billie. Adele is totally in a different and higher league than her, There’s no comparison.

Thank you! I feel like this confirms she’s winning something important enough for her to attend, because she could easily skip. I moved her to winning Song now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if As it Was or Easy on Me take it.
