In a perfect world, The Heart Part 5 would win this with Kendrick’s special third verse dedicated to Nipsey. I’ll say it again, it’s the best song amongst the nominees.
It is the best song and I agree.
Plus there’s precedent with the ceremony awarding rap songs with a “message” in the general field (‘This Is America’)

ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 10:30 am #1205283831Since 2015, Taylor has only attended when she’s won. Not just the Grammys, but every award show in general. Producers obviously let the artists know beforehand if they’re winning something or not so if she’s showing up then her likelihood of winning BMV is exponentially higher.
Cause there’s pretty much no other reason to show up than for the award. If ATW was nominated for the Oscar then she might show up for campaign but the RED era is over now so there’s no other reason to show up.

Rihanna & JAY-Z attended & lost all 8 of their nominations. What makes Taylor any more special?
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 10:37 am #1205283842I think it’s pretty easy to predict whether or not you have a good chance at winning.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 7:43 pm #1205284413I’m interested in seeing if this theory holds up tomorrow night.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 10:32 pm #1205284541Last year, Adele told British Vogue, “I can handle my wine, I could drink five bottles of wine and have a normal conversation.”
Wonder if she addressed her drink problem this year or just let it escalate?
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 10:37 pm #1205284544If that’s the case I could see them televising Best Music Video (for the first time?). I doubt she’d show up for an untelevised acceptance speech.
This is what I think. Her ego needs soothed by some kind of win for ATW after the embarrassing double shut out at the Oscars. She’d accept a televised music video Grammy.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 10:54 pm #1205284554Hopefully, the Grammy producers are above that. There is no need to televise Music Video just to get Taylor’s ass there.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 10:59 pm #1205284560Has Music Video category been televised before?
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 4, 2023 at 11:12 pm #1205284563Adele singing I drink wine while actually gulping bottles of wine is probably the only Adele performance I would enjoy watching. 🍺🍺🍺

Nope
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 5, 2023 at 7:28 am #1205284955Just because the Grammys are steps above the MTV VMAs and the iHeartRadio Music Awards, doesn’t mean that they’re not still a TV show. They want their stars, they want their numbers, and they will get them.
So if they want to televise freaking ‘Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording’ just to present Viola Davis getting her EGOT, they will do that. If they lured in Taylor/Kendrick with a ‘Best Music Video’ win, they will televise that.

They could televise Best Country Song instead

Taylor isn’t remotely close to winning Best Country Song though…
