And missed AOTY and Country Album for Red TV. Her biggest chance is in Video, and when people predicted “Montero” they ended up being hugely wrong. Taylor always gets these SOTY nominations and has a huge album during voting and still loses. It’s a continued trend for her. I think “All Too Well” is a beneficiary of the ABC thing because she should have easily made ROTY like Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Harry Styles and Beyoncé did. All four made all three marquee AND performance categories with ease.
Her SOTY nomination this year reminds me to Lover and Gaga’s Always remember us this way.
I think the only way she could win is if she campaigns hard but then again she promoted Lover a lot in late 2019 when she was getting all those Artist of the decade performances, had the “Scooter stole my masters drama”, won VOTY at the EMAs and VMAs and still lost all her Lover Grammy nominations against Lizzo and Billie.
ReplyCopy URLAs It Was is the winner. It’s been everywhere this year but I’ve barely heard Adele or Taylor. The lyrics allude to the pandemic whereas ATW and EOM are basic break up songs. ATW is tedious instrumentally with bitter, bitchy lyrics accusing Jake Gyllenhaal of being some kind of abuser. Go away, Taylor. You have Grammy monomania.

This category is also a no-brainer. “Easy on Me” easily wins. The other nominees do NOT stand a chance. SHOULD WIN: “Easy on Me” WILL WIN: “Easy on Me”
It is time Gucci to give Taylor her flowers. She deserves to win SOTY. Let’s be honest for once. She is second in the poll here for a reason. Adele has lost steam.
