i wouldn’t say she has white privileged , but she does do things that Taylor and Harry wouldn’t be able to get away with. For instance the fact that Adele did two exclusive concerts for only a-listers and the Hollywood elite. Taylor and Harry would not be able to get away with that, they would be met with criticism. She is also a very boring performer and dodges big notes. Christina and Beyoncé give it their absolute best when they perform, and I would argue that they have more musical versatility than Adele.

Pure stupidity and lack of awareness. Award Taylor or Harry over Adele and all white supremacy is suddenly cured!

Taylor is too busy manipulating the charts with a bunch of remixes and versions of her albums and songs and getting away with it. If it was say, Nicki Minaj, it would have been called out by now. Taylor’s “privilege” is no different than Adele’s. Same with Harry & his pandering towards the gays and these publications forcing the “King of Pop” and “One of the Greatest Albums of All Time” titles on him.

Adele submits music to the Grammys every five or six years, whereas Taylor is submitting every single year and trying to wreck everyone else’s chances. Silk Sonic bowing out of AOTY really put her to shame.
And she just released her 8th version of Anti Hero. She’s determined to fake longevity. EOM and AIW to this day only have one version.
When our depression works the graveyard shift, we’re thankful that Anti-Hero (Acoustic Version) is there to remind us we’re not alone. 🥹🫶

November 25, 2022 at 7:03 am #1205166393Honey, Swifties are the most delusional fanbase out here. A 12-year-old can write a better song than Taylor Swift.
Olivia already did that !

Have you all been living under a rock? Taylor has been getting dragged for this for weeks. Also every artist releases remixes and different variants of vinyls. The only difference here is that Taylor actually sells and achieves success. You are also not bringing up the fact that Anti Hero is a world wide smash, and just topped the charts in the UK for a 4th week, without remixes. At the end of the day every artist wants to be number 1. Ask Adele about her countless copies of 30 that are sitting in warehouses collecting dust.

As It Was has ZERO remixes. Just the one version. Anti Hero has EIGHT different versions all of which count towards the UK charts. Taylor knows it’s a weak song that wouldn’t stay at 1 without her fans buying different versions every few days.

Silk Sonic’s cowardice didn’t put anyone to shame but Bruno Mars himself. They clearly didn’t submit this year because his ego couldn’t take his streak being broken by losing to Adele and Beyoncé.
You can bet the minute he has new music out and isn’t competing against those ladies, he’ll be back to submitting to the Grammys.

I agree with ya. Taylor is a chart obsessed manipulator. Girl has released 100 remixes and versions to stay at number 1. She did it with her album and now she’s doing it with her song because she knows her cult will mass buy whatever she puts out. This isn’t an organic number 1 that the general public loves like Easy on Me or As it was.

I remember Silk Sonic moving their album release to Red TV’s date, fully aware they’d be blocked by Swift. The week prior was free but they only released SOTW. It might not be about avoiding competition per say.
Bruno is rumoured be releasing his 4th album in 2023 and has already resumed performing solo concerts. Irrespective of outcomes, submitting this year would’ve weakened the performance of his next effort. It’s a pattern with him.
Following Uptown Funk, he explicitly said his next album (24K Magic) will wait for an additional year since the track performed too well. Again he wasn’t open to the Super Bowl performance with Bey noting “I feel like I’d just done it”. He also refused to release SOTW early stating “until LTDO dies out on radio”. I was already expecting him not to submit (outside R&B though) and shared that thought on GD.
