So happy about Adele winning at the Brits, and also happy she kind of called out the dumb non gendering thing 🤌🏻🤌🏻

It did better than Rumour Has It, Turning Tables, Water Under The Bridge and everything from her debut LP.
Second, writing 5 sequential obsessive posts about an artist and narcissistically cross-referencing one’s own post from a clone account only self-validates. Every shred of respect we might have for you is rolling down a vanishing gradient. I can’t help but wonder how many unique accounts I am interacting with.
Third, this is clearly a case where the second single is not pushed much to avoid cannibalising the lead on radio. An A-List remix can absolutely shoot that track to the top and secure BPDG for Adele, the team chose not to go that route!
Columbia CAN get Beyoncé on that shit if they want.

Look, I’d rather not argue in public forums to avoid triggering sensitive folks, insulting younger users or putting down individuals with special needs.
But you might want to read your write ups before posting.

The UK superstar also tops IFPI Global Album Sales Chart and IFPI Global Vinyl Album Chart
“IFPI, the organisation that represents the recorded music industry worldwide, has announced Adele’s 30 as the winner of the Global Album All Format Chart for 2021. 30 also tops IFPI’s Global Album Sales Chart and the inaugural IFPI Global Vinyl Album Chart.
30, the hugely anticipated fourth studio album from global superstar Adele, was released on 19 November 2021. It marked a welcome return to music for Adele after a six-year hiatus since the release of her multi-award winning third studio album 25, released in 2015. Preceded by chart-topping return single Easy on Me, 30 went on to reach #1 in over 20 markets including the US where it became Adele’s third album to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The album continues its record-breaking streak by topping all three of IFPI’s Global Album Charts – the Global Album All Format Chart (introduced last year and won by 2021’s Global Artist Of The Year, BTS), Global Album Sales Chart and the first-ever Global Vinyl Album Chart. Following its release in November 2021, 30 surpassed over five million physical album equivalent units in 2021 alone, in under two months.”

March 1, 2022 at 10:55 am #1204826159According to IFPI Adele’s 30 was the best selling album of 2021 in all formats (physical, digital and streaming). That with just 6 weeks of counting.

April 10, 2022 at 10:24 am #1204911219Adele’s “All Night Parking” (feat. Erroll Garner) has now spent 20 straight weeks at #1 on Spotify’s Jazz Global chart. It is now the first and only track to achieve that.
Will she submit the song at the Grammys?
ReplyCopy URLApril 10, 2022 at 11:11 pm #1204912076She can, but it really shouldn’t be on those charts. It’s a trap-R&B song that samples a classic jazz piece.

ReplyCopy URLMay 10, 2022 at 11:51 am #1204948360She has the “I Drink Wine” video somewhere in her vault. She might as well release that, even if it isn’t a commercial success. Don’t know why she abandoned the era, but at least we know the Hyde Park performances are next up.
