I.e: Fake Smile credits Happy Perez before Ariana, while In My Head credits Ariana before him. It’s pretty much based on how much involvement there was from someone.

There’s the official credits. Again based on alphabetical order:

I have the CD. It’s not alphabetical.

Dude please stop… It’s alphabetical order, even Spotify does it in Alphabetical order (though it’s based on first name on Spotify) and sometimes it’s even random. There’s no pattern whatsoever.

I don’t know what language your CD is, but here’s the album booklet (you see this version doesn’t even have the same order as yours, so it’s pretty random):

Also if it was based on amount of contribution, how come she’s listed first on 7 Rings when she’s publicly confirmed that she’s given Rodgers and Hammerstein 90% of the credit?

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I don’t trust Ariana at all when it comes to her saying what she “wrote”.</p>
She recently said that “Touch It” is one of her least favourite songs that she ever wrote, but she’s not even credited as a writer on it!

She gave Hammerstein and Rogers 90% of the income, not “credit”. Those are the writers of My Favorite Things.

Omg Os lol! There’s no such thing as “income”.

There are royalties and royalties are automatically collected by performing rights organizations like BMI and ASCAP. Then these organizations award songwriters the royalties based on the SONGWRITING CREDIT PERCENTAGE.

Lmao.. Ariana doesn’t collect and doesn’t award any “income” to begin with. It’s out of her scope.

    Maybe you’re not getting it:

ASCAP, BMI, and other performing rights organizations only collect song royalties. When Ariana was asked to give up 90% of the credit, she WAS asked to give 90% of the song’s income, which is based on songwriting royalties. I used the word “income” as a less-complex term; you just literally said the exact same thing.

This however has no effect on the actual song because, again, Rogers and Hammersteing didn’t write the song or contributed anything themselves; the sample was just very expensive.

Stop trying to pretend like you know basic Music Industry concepts when I was simplifying them for those who didn’t lmao.

Oscar, just give it up please. If the order was based on songwriting credit contribution, Rogers and Hammersteing would’ve been listed before her, which isn’t the case. Don’t try to convince us that Ariana is listed first because she was the main writer of all of those songs lol… There’s nothing wrong with not being a songwriter, it’s a total separate set of skills from singing and being a vocalist. Many good vocalists were actually not songwriters. But the issue is when you try to be seen as one when you’re not.

This debate over whether she writes or not (she does) is ridiculous. What reason would she have to lie?
As Os has already stated there’s songs that she hasn’t written on and also just because she said she wrote a song, yet wasn’t credited doesn’t mean a thing. She could’ve easily given up credit to her collaborators as that’s not an uncommon thing within the industry especially when you’re working with close friends.

I think it’s what you have been saying for the last few months, and still you are shitting here with your nonsense. Go to the Ed Sheeran thread and talk there.

Some are saying Ariana will be a feature in Ed Sheeran’s new song (the first name starts with an A and end with A)
