I’m sorry to say but y’all aren’t helping to move the thread/discussions in here along by responding to that troll. Put them on ignore and keep it moving because I’m honestly SO TIRED of seeing the back and forth. We know Ariana writes, she knows it, her collaborators know it so why are y’all feeding into the mess? 🗿

I’m sure she could pull a Speak Now and write an entire album on her own and y’all would still trash her

Not true. If she pulls it off, I’ll gain mad respect for her. The reason I’m not a fan, is because I don’t see her as a true artist. She isn’t a songwriter or producer. She has no artistry in her work. Her music videos are always commercial and boring. She’s no different than Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. She just has more appeal.

If she proves herself as a songwriter, I’ll definitely change my mind about her and have more respect for her. I always respect true artists whether I like them or not. I’m not a fan of Billie for example, but I can at least appreciate her sense of artistry.

You’re “not a fan” but you’re one of the most active people on this forum… How that work? 🗿

Well Ariana may not be a great songwriter, you can’t deny she’s a great vocalist which isn’t that supposed to be the most important part? Taylor Swift can write songs, but she doesn’t come close to having the vocal prowess of Ariana grande. Thank u next imo was a much better album than lover, much more approachable, and much more easy to listen to. Taylor is a poet yes, but sometimes I just feel like she reading a novel when she’s singing. Ariana is a vocal chameleon, and has great variance in her tone. Hence why she’s able to do unbelievable musical impressions of other singers. I still believe she’s arguably the best female vocalist in the under 30 age group at the moment.

Ariana went home with Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer (boyfriend), and Best Art Direction (7 rings). Safe to say she was snubbed, but at least she won one of the biggest awards of the night!

    Finally.

This is the right time: Lana has the NFR! hype, Miley’s overperforming with Slide Away (which has had some legs despite being a surprise release), and Boyfriend is starting to stabilize. I was going to say that she should go to SNL but I forgot…that.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe she’ll be comfortable enough going now. It would make sense with Kristen Stewart hosting on November 2nd. We’ll see how things go.

Honey, “Angel” is going to bomb.  I bet Ari “wrote” this song too.  NOT!
