She said Ariana asked her to write a verse/part for the song, so I doubt it’s only the interjections in the snippets. Y’all are aware that snippets don’t equal the whole song, right?

I know, but she doesn’t sound right and Miley’s screaming isn’t helping either.

on the Brightside, A MV and radio push right away, its gonna be top 10. Im gonna assume Scooter is gonna arrange some bundles on all three of their merchandise sites. If this flops y’all arinators won’t hear the end of it from the posters (mostly M)

    y'all ugly and smelly

well if it flops it flops. the opinion of an internet troll shouldn’t matter to anyone nor does it hold any weight in the real world. I’m sure the song will do just fine. Boyfriend debuted within the top 10 with similar promo (and it’s still hanging on within the top 20 after 5 weeks) but the only difference is the featured artists who have actual fanbases and will no doubt support this regardless.

It’ll have a radio deal like most big songs on its first few days, but the official impact will be Monday (which is great, since the Billboard tracking week is Mon thru Sun)

Oh wow, this is great news. So it’ll for sure debut within the top 10, maybe even top 3 depending on it’s push. And like Pauly said Scooter will push for bundled merch so that should help too.

Well thank goodness RIAA is investigating Payola because these shady radio deals have got to stop.

    Radio deals are legal.

Well RIAA is investigating them. So I wouldn’t rush to say they’re legal without knowledge.

I’m more interested in what these record labels are offering in exchange for more airplay? That’s where it can get tricky. Because FCC regulation stipulates that you cannot broadcast any material in exchange of favor or money without disclosure.

It’s becoming a lot more common, here’s Rolling Stones talking about it:

So no it’s not really legal.

They also don’t include Youtube, which remains one of the biggest streaming services in the country.

I’m genuinely surprised radio is catching on to “boyfriend”. The song got extremely tired after the first week, imo.

I don’t think it’ll become a hit no matter how hard they try. Plus this new single will probably kill it.

This was a serve but were we really expecting any less from three queens?

Love Lana’s bridge, definitely my favourite part. Miley and Ariana killed their verses. My only nit-pick would be that I would’ve loved to see the first half of the chorus have some descending chords instead of the same bass, but it picks up once she harmonizes on the word “heaven”.

This sucks lol. She ended her most successful era very shortly after album release to release “Boyfriend” and now this? She’s giving the impression that she’s starting to flop

I love Lana but her part is so out of place in this song. The chorus is very annoying. The only bearable part is probably Miley’s verse.

it’s a song for a movie and you’re acting like she’s making some kind of careering ending big decision, have several seats

the verses are lovely, chorus was a big ol meh, lana reigns supreme
