I think Rule the World has a great chance of getting nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. If that’s the case, my prediction for her nominations is 7:

Album of the Year: Thank U, Next

Record of the Year: Thank U, Next

Song of the Year: Thank U, Next

Best Pop Vocal Album: Thank U, Next

Best Pop Solo Performance: Thank U, Next (though I prefer Imagine getting this nom over TUN)

Best Music Video: Thank U, Next

Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: Rule the World

“Rule the World” might be regulated to Pop Duo or Group because Ariana is not an Urban artist.

The same thing happened to that DJ Khaled song featuring Justin Bieber. It featured 3 other Hip-Hop artists but was still submitted to Pop.

RTW will go Rap/Sung. It has no pop elements unlike DJ Khaled/JB song.

Plenty of non Urban artist have made it into Rap/Sung. Gwen, Fergie, Christina (In 2018), Justin, Bruno, Skyler Grey, Sia, Amy Winehouse……

Get real!  What in the Nick Jonas is this!  Ariana Grande is NOT getting a Best Rap/Sung Performance nomination.

Most of those artists got in before the rule change though…

Xtina got in for “Like I Do” because the song featured an Urban artist. Bruno is now considered R&B/Urban so his inclusion for “Please Me” wouldn’t be surprising.

I only see Ariana in 3 categories so far: Pop Solo and Pop Album and possibly AoTY (depending on whether the year remains this weak. If it doesn’t, I’ll replace her).

To be fair, neither did Like I Do.

I see 4 noms for Ariana: Pop Vocal, Pop Solo, AOTY and ROTY.

I think SOTY will depend on what she submits.

Not sure about Rule the World. The Grammy’s don’t like 2 Chainz that much.

“needy” will serve as the 4th single from “thank u, next”, according to KISS FM. She’s set to perform the song today on the iHeart Radio Music Awards.

We can agree that Ariana winning Female Artist of the Year is one of the biggest locks of the night, right? Halsey’s probably her closest competition, but I can’t see her winning.

Well it’s not confirmed yet that Needy is the next single. But it’s my fav song so I’m happy anyway.

It’d make sense, specially since it’s the top charting non-single. I’m HOPING homegirl sends it to R&B radio, specially now that she entered Urban radio with 7 Rings.

I hear “Needy” a lot on TuneIn—probably more than I have ever heard any non-single. I love the song, but it would be a curious choice for a single with how it is too short to have much of a chorus.
