Listening to the new Grimes record now and there is no doubt that it is THE pop album of 2015. Incredibly ballsy stuff wrapped in some deliciously sugary production. Wish more people were talking about her.

Agreed – possibly THE album of the year.  It’ll be a tough year to make my year-end top ten deciding between the Grimes, Sufjan Stevens, Kendrick Lamar, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Father John Misty albums.

Quite impressed with the new Grimes album, Art of Angels! Sugary sweet pop production at the surface, but a deep, provocative album underneath. Very different from her last record (which initially I was upset about), but after listening through a few times, these new songs are quite the earworms!

I agree with you guys the album is sick! Grimes is one of my guilty pleasures. I like her newer material way better.

I know that I will most likely be all alone on this, but to me, the best singer to go forward within the last year is the late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal.

God bless you and his family always!!!

I would say both Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle are both way overlooked (especially where I am in Australia), but with R&B so overlooked when it comes to mainstream radio etc. it’s to be expected.

The one I will say is Jessica Sanchez. Hasn’t had an album out since 2013 and the odd single since but that voice is insane. Definitely overlooked.
