I was shocked to find Luke Bryan never got Grammy nom. His 2011 and 2013 albums are x4 Platinum in USA.

    Anyone else ?

Florida Georgia Line’s only nomination is in the form of “Meant to Be”, which is kinda funny that the only way they could get a nomination in the country field was as a feature act on a pop song

    The Who (1964-present)
    Spice Girls (1994-present)
    Marina (2005-present)
    Jason Derulo (2006-present)
    Grimes (2007-present)
    A. G. Cook (2011-present)
    Cocteau Twins (1979-1997)
    One Direction (2010-2015)

It’s funny to mention that The Strokes got their first nomination ever for the 2021 ceremony, 21 years after the band was formed.

Sufjan Stevens also got his first nom for Mystery Of Love recently even though he’s been releasing acclaimed music since 2000.

Barely this year, the Strokes barely got their first nomination for The New Abnormal. I was aghast that the band have never even gotten a nomination. Typically indie bands get notoriety for things after the Main critically acclaimed album.

    Albums of the Year:
    2020: After Hours (RU: folklore)
    2019: Titanic Rising (RU: Charli)
2018: OIL OF EVERY PEARL’S UN-INSIDES (RU: You Won’t Get What You Want)
    2017: Saturation Trilogy (RU: Melodrama)
    2016: Blonde (RU: Blackstar)

    2020 favorite albums:
    1. after hours
    2. folklore
    3. fetch the bolt cutters
    4. rtj4
    5. what’s your pleasure?
    6. circles
    7. windswept adan
    8. græ
    9. the slow rush
    10. sawayama
    11. the new abnormal
    12. lianne la havas
    13. women in music pt. iii

The first person that comes to my mind is country singer Gary Allan. This year marks the 25th year on the radio for him. Go here for his history.

God bless you and him always!!!

    Holly

P.S. He had a hand in writing his last #1 song named “Every Storm Runs Out Of Rain”…….never once has he ever even scored a Grammy award nomination so far. Go here for the little that he was considered for.

Actually, Jeff Buckley was nominated for a posthumous Grammy (Best Male Rock Vocal Performance) for “Everybody Here Wants You” at the 41st Grammys in 1999.

Deborah Cox’s snub really hurts because she would have been a threat for Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here in R&B Female.
