For me personally, as more of a pop music person, I believe Although Gaga, Rihanna, Ariana, Britney, Katy, Kesha, etc. have gotten Grammy nods, I am shocked by some of the snubs:

My preferred noms and wins per artist, Wins are in bold:

    Gaga:

2009: Best Dance Recording – Just Dance

2010: Best New Artist (Stupid f**king rules) – she would have won; AOTY,SOTY,ROTY,(For Poker Face & The Fame), Dance Recording(Poker Face), Dance/Electronica Album(The Fame), Female Pop Vocal Performance(Paparazzi) – I know she didn’t get this one but she deserved it over Taylor Swift

2011: AOTY,SOTY,ROTY  (Bad Romance & The Fame Monster), Pop Album, Female Pop Vocal Performance, Music Video, Pop Collab with Vocals, Dance Recording – Same noms just added the rightfully deserved SOTY&ROTY

2012: AOTY, SOTY(Edge of Glory), ROTY(Born This Way), – Edge of Glory was amazing and deserved it over CeeLo Green & Born This Way topped the Billboard 100 for 6 weeks. Pop Solo Performance for Edge of Glory (You and I is an amazing song, but EOG deserved it more), Pop Album, Dance Recording for Born This Way

2015- Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Cheek to Cheek

2016 – Song Written for Visual Media – Till it Happens to You

2018 – Pop Album, Pop Solo Performance

2019 – SOTY, ROTY, Pop Group/Duo, Song Written for Visual Media, Pop Solo Performance

2020 – AOTY, SOTY, Soundtrack for Visual Media, Song for Visual Media

2021 – AOTY (The Fact that Jacob Collier was nominated over her & the Weeknd…), ROTY, Pop Group Duo, Dance Recording for Stupid Love, Pop Album

    – 15 wins, 40 nominations

    Kesha:

    2010: Female Pop Vocal Performance

2011: Best New Artist, Dance/Electronica Album, Dance Recording (Take it Off)

    2012: Dance Recording for Blow

2018: Pop Solo Performance. Pop Vocal Album

    – 1 win, 7 nominations

    Katy:

    2009: Female Pop Vocal Performance

2010: BNA -(Gaga would have won if not for the rules, but Katy would have been nominated), I actually don’t think she should have been nominated for Hot n Cold

2011 – AOTY, ROTY, Pop Album, Female Pop Vocal Performance, Pop Collab w/ Vocals – (although not the most lyrical of songs, was too big not to win)

2012 – ROTY, Pop Solo Performance

    2013 – Pop Solo Performance

2014 – SOTY, Pop Solo Performance

    2015 – Pop Group/Duo, Pop Album

    – 1 win, 14 nominations

    Britney:

2000 – BNA, Female Pop Vocal Performance – I am a die hard fan, and I even know that Xtina deserved both of these

2001 – Pop Album, Female Pop Vocal Performance

2003 – Pop Album, Female Pop Vocal Performance

2005 – ROTY for Toxic, Pop Album, Pop Collab for Me Against the Music, BMV for Toxic, Best Dance Recording

2010 – Dance Recording, Pop Album- (I put her over Colbie), Female Pop Vocal Performance for Circus (Over Hot n Cold)

2012 – Dance Recording for Till the World Ends, Dance/Electronica Album for Femme Fatale

    – 2 wins, 16 nominations

    Rihanna:

2009 – Female Pop Vocal Performance for Take a Bow over Duffy, Dance Recording

    2010 – Rap/Sung, Rap Song

    2011 – Dance Recording, ROTY, Rap/Sung, BMV

2012 – AOTY, ROTY (S&M) over Bon Iver (He did deserve SOTY though), Pop Album, Dance Recording for S&M, Rap/Sung

2013 – BMV, Dance Recording for We Found Love, Pop Solo Performance, Rap/Sung

2014 – Urban Contemporary Album, Pop Solo Performance for Diamonds over Mr. Mars, Pop Group/Duo

    2015 – Rap/Sung

2017 – AOTY for her own album, AOTY for feature, ROTY, Rap/Sung, R&B Performance, R&B Song, Pop Group/Duo, Urban Contemporary Album

    2018 – Rap/Sung

    – 11 wins, 34 nominations

    Ariana:

2015 – Pop Album, Pop Solo Performance for One Last Time, Pop Group/Duo, Rap/Sung for Problem, Dance Recording for Break Free

    4 wins, 18 nominations

If you have any others, especially from categories I don’t know a lot about pls chime in! Also, remember to be kind to others always!

Nas- 13 Nominations and ZERO wins is absolutely horrid and a disgrace to the Rap voting committee. He should have at least three wins.

1997- Best Rap Solo Performance (If I Ruled The World)

2014- Best Rap Album (Life Is Good)

    2014- Best Rap/Sung (Cherry Wine)

Also the fact that Kanye West has 21 Grammys but not ONE Album Of The Year win is disgusting. He wasn’t even NOMINATED for AOTY for his Magnum Opus. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Rakim, one of the most influential MC’s of all time, has only garnered ONE Grammy nomination in his entire career and of course no Wins.

    Mariah Carey.

The biggest selling artist of the 90’s. The biggest selling Female artist in the U.S.
The most #1’s by any solo artist or Female songwriter.
    2 Diamond albums.

Yet only 5 GRAMMYs? Not even a ROTY, AOTY, or SOTY award to her name. Weird asf.

    👑Cicely Tyson (1924-2021)
    👑Mary Wilson (1944-2021)

FKA Twigs has been done so dirty

Both LP1 and Magdalene deserved a Best Alt Album nomination. At least Alt Album this year is going to FTBC, Punisher or Jamie all of which are really great albums. Magdalene still deserves a nomination over the boring Beck album.

She should’ve won BNA in 2016. She wasn’t even nominated and Meghan Trainor winning is a joke.

Also Cellophane deserved BMV last year. This is a masterpiece, I’m sorry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkLjqFpBh84

Christina Aguilera:  2019 – Record of the Year: “Like I Do” 2019 – Album of the Year: Liberation 2019 – Song of the Year: “Fall in Line” 15 wins, 30 nominations

    We love an unbiased stan

! The claim in this post is disputed

Troye Sivan deserved at least a BPVA nomination for Bloom in 2019

    FYC 2021:
    AOTY: folklore
    ROTY: Don't Start Now
    SOTY: cardigan
    BNA: Phoebe Bridgers

Katy Perry and Ariana Grande hands down. It sucks that they always had tough competition.

Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj. Despite being the most influential female artists of the last decade, neither have won a single Grammy. The fact that we have artists like Lorde and Billie Eillish is because Lana influenced them. The fact that there’s been a huge increase in female rappers like Cardi, Megan and Doja is because Nicki paved the way for them.

FACTS!! The glaring lack of grammys for artists like Lana and Nicki is criminal. Lana literally paved the way for artists like Billie and lorde and whatever is called “whisper pop” today. Nicki’s legacy is undeniable, there isn’t even a discourse needed on it.

    To each their own?

Even if you think her music is garbage her impact is undeniable, that’s a fact.
