Nostalgia. Much like Lemonade lost to a Beatles doc, Black Is King can lose to Beastie Boys Story, or even the Linda film (which seems to be promoted a lot).

Taylor should have won SOTY at least once. If Tay does not win SOTY over Dua Lipa, I’ll be pressed. It’s crazy that Childish Gambino, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, and Sam Smith  have won a SOTY Grammy before Ms. Swift. It needs to happen.

In my opinion, Mitski deserved a SOTY nomination for “Your Best American Girl” in 2017 over putrid tracks like “7 Years” and “I Took a Pill in Ibiza.”

Norman Fucking Rockwell! deserved a Pop Vocal nod over the horror show that is No. 6 Collaborations Project.

how I’m feeling now deserved a nomination over that audio version of garbage that is Changes.

But she could also take:

Beyoncé obviously. Deserved wins for 2x AOTY (ST and Lem), 4x ROTY (Say My Name, Irreplaceable, Crazy In Love and Halo) and 2x SOTY (Crazy In Love and Say My Name). “4” also didn’t deserve to be shut out like that!
