Same with Fiona. The Alternative Crowd loves the bitch plus the critical acclaim. Brittany Howard couldn’t even with any of her awards last year, so I’m really doubtful.

    Albums of the Year:
    2020: After Hours (RU: folklore)
    2019: Titanic Rising (RU: Charli)
2018: OIL OF EVERY PEARL’S UN-INSIDES (RU: You Won’t Get What You Want)
    2017: Saturation Trilogy (RU: Melodrama)
    2016: Blonde (RU: Blackstar)

    2020 favorite albums:
    1. after hours
    2. folklore
    3. fetch the bolt cutters
    4. rtj4
    5. what’s your pleasure?
    6. circles
    7. windswept adan
    8. græ
    9. the slow rush
    10. sawayama
    11. the new abnormal
    12. lianne la havas
    13. women in music pt. iii

Brittany is strong, and Phoebe Bridgers is a dark horse, but I think Fiona will win 1-2 awards, and this could be one. She’s pushing “Shameika,” which has a wonderful story behind it. There will be passion there. This is the most love she’s had in years. Not sure, but this is where I’m going. Fiona for the win!

Brittany may have the upper hand here. The album was nominated in Eng. Album and she got a slew of nominations in multiple genres (Rock, American Roots & R&B). She also got multiple Rock noms last year.

However FTBC has a lot of passion behind it. It’ll be close I think.

That’s a stacked and tough category. Fiona still can win but Phoebe and Brittany overperformed.

Jaime is the frontrunner IMO. The fact that it got in Engineered Album, Alternative/Rock, R&B, & American Roots proves the support it has in multiple genres. Brittany has also campaigned like a boss 👏🏾

Beck might even surprise. That EA nod says a lot. He’s respected and beloved by the Recording Academy too.

This category isn’t a slam dunk for some. It’s extremely competitive.

I am predicting Fiona atm. She could end up sweeping Alt/rock field. I have Jaime close behind her since she has a lot of genre support (rock, R&B, AR). Phoebe overperformed though she could lose everything. Also, I am shocked Kyoto made it in Rock because Natalie said she didn’t see it in the submissions. Overall, the alternative/rock field is my favorite in terms of nominations.

Brittany or Fiona. Rooting for the latter, but believe Britt has the upper hand.

Wow, I don’t know what to do here. Brittany Howard has support across the board in different genres (Rock/Alternative, American Roots, R&B), Phoebe Bridgers did better than expected and Fiona Apple is the comeback, it is between these three defintely.

For now, I am rooting for Fiona to take it, I think her comeback helps along with the story behind “Shameika”. Of her three nominations (wish it was more, ugh!), I think that her best chance at a win would be Rock Song since voters would appreciate her songwriting and Brittany could win in Rock Performance.

This is an incredibly competitive category. I think Brittany and Fiona are frontrunners while Phoebe is a dark horse. Beck could also win.

Phoebe Bridgers- BNA, Rock Song, Rock Performance, Alternative Album
