Keith Urban will be an afterthought. Brandy Clark may win one day. Previous winner here, Loretta Lynn will take the backseat. Maren Morris received a lot of love. However, it won’t be enough to take down AOTY nominee Sturgill Simpson.

My vote goes to Loretta because her ability to bring it still at the age that she is at now is something to be considered in my opinion.

Album is between Sturgill and Maren. I’m going with Sturgill just because of his AOTY nomination.

As for Country solo, I think it will be Maren. While Country song will be Humble & Kind because that really was the song of the year in country music. It was shocking Tim McGraw didn’t get into Country solo for it.

only Shania Twain & Taylor Swift lost it here when they were also nominated for AotY to an album without AotY nom. both times, the eventual winner was an emerging artist (Dixie Chicks & Kacey Musgraves, respectively).
is Sturgill really the favorite? don’t you forget that both Country Album & AotY nominees are chosen by a special committee. will the mass vote favor him too? he didn’t even get anything at CMA or didn’t get any other country noms this year…

The thing about Sturgill Simpson is that he got a lot of buzz after landing that AOTY nomination, so that will likely play into his win (if he indeeds win here).

I wouldn’t be surprised at a Maren Morris win. Loretta Lynn might upset them all, though.
