Dynamite without fan power would’ve came and went, Intentions did well because of ruthless payola and promo,
I think both songs are on the same level
Dynamite did use a lot of payola aswell. This and fandom power made the song be big enough for Grammys to finally nominate them
Meanwhile “intentions” had decent streams, and is the most successful song on JB’s album (not saying much but Grammys still recongized that album so….)
I still think this is between Taylor and Gaga.
November 30, 2020 at 5:47 pm #1203885915If by some miracle chance BTS wins this, this will be the most interesting forum to read from. I have them down for #2. I still think Exile will take it.
November 30, 2020 at 6:08 pm #1203885941lol you guys are so pressed. Honestly this forum is so xenophobic and racist. So what did I expect? Anyhow BTS stays winning regardless. I’m out of here
I’m an Asian. Dynamite is not that spectacular, even BTS fans know that song is no special, they have a lot of better songs in their bag, ON for example but language barrier is hard to overcome and it has nothing to do with racism. The only reason the army stan it is because of its commercial success otherwise you guys don’t even claim it.
For you consideration :
Album of the year : folklore
Record of the year : Don't Start Now
Song of the year : cardigan
Best new artist : Phoebe BridgersBest pop vocal album : folklore

Ok, great you feel this way. But it has nothing to do with their chances at the Grammys.
This is my thoughts right now:
1. Exile
2/3. Dynamite
2/3. ROM
4. Intentions
5. Un DiaI want to test a chart theory to also make a data-based guess for this category, which I’ll do over the weekend. I’ll post my findings if I think it’s warranted.

I think this is correct. If Taylor promotes more and if Gaga does nothing (obviously BTS will promote but I also think partially because of their new album in general) then I’d put Gaga at third and not have a tie
November 30, 2020 at 8:16 pm #1203886092Just saw IBS on that Disney Christmas singalong. I could not believe my ears, they were trash!

Song Written for Visual Media: Beautiful GhostsNovember 30, 2020 at 8:21 pm #1203886102BTS stans are even more delusional than the most delusional swifties. We all have our stans and biases but there are plenty of sane swifties here who aren’t overestimating her chances, even in categories shes supposed to be leading.
Dynamite wasn’t even a hit, most of its units were coming from mass buying and payola so no, it wasn’t organic and that person’s argument about the biggest hit of the year winning BPDGP is anyway not in favour of BTS. Drop it already.
November 30, 2020 at 8:43 pm #1203886132I think Exile will have the highest chance followed by a tie with ROM and Dynamite.

I have to agree with you on this. Exile is definitely the big one here followed by Dynamite and ROM.

You act like somehow Intentions & ROM are “organic” hits. Both used payola/sales/playlisting to chart the way they did.

November 30, 2020 at 9:26 pm #1203886166Dynamite is one of the worst songs of the year along eith yummy.
November 30, 2020 at 10:28 pm #1203886289Honey, wrong! “Exile” is one of the worst songs of the year, along with “Cardigan.” BARF!
November 30, 2020 at 10:59 pm #1203886324ROM has critical acclaim and commercial success and has two of the biggest pop stars on the track. I would see why it wouldn’t win.
I’m sorry, Rain On Me doesn’t have better critical acclaim than other nominees.

Obviously they still had all of that but Dynamite had multiple music videos and at least like 12 remixes released within a week of the original being released. It was beyond desperate and embarrassing lol.
December 1, 2020 at 12:14 am #1203886395The only critically acclaimed song in this category is exile and its not up for debate. You can argue about sales and shit but only exile is a quality song here.
December 1, 2020 at 12:15 am #1203886399I see that the obvious winner is “exile”. It is a widely praised track from a critically acclaimed album. It also has decent success and sales despite being an album track. In the interim,”Un Dia” is just a filler nomination. “Dynamite” and “R.O.M” may have chances too due to their success, yet I doubt it may happen due to its quality. Grammys never love boybands too in fact yet I actually think R.O.M still has a chance to win because of its namechecks; though “exile” is still the frontrunner.🖤
