Is Despacito a lock?November 28, 2017 at 1:41 pm #1202423623
I would say yes.. only nominee in this category up for Record or Song of the Year, and it was the smash hit of the year. I’d say there’s a good 99% chance it’s taking this one. Another Grammy for Bieber 🙁November 28, 2017 at 2:19 pm #1202423695
I would prefer the original, but yes “Despacito” is winning.November 28, 2017 at 8:36 pm #1202424066
Wow this category is so amazing and I cant even decide who to choose.
I love Thunder the most but I think the competition will go to Despacito & SomethingJustLikeThis.November 28, 2017 at 8:48 pm #1202424080
Honey, I’m not 100% sure Luis Fonsi & co. have this category on lock, despite having ROTY/SOTY nominations. Imagine Dragons are a huge threat. Zedd & Alessia Cara aren’t winning. The Chainsmokers & Coldplay have an outside chance. Portugual. The Man won’t be able to take Luis Fonsi & co. and Imagine Dragons down.
SHOULD WIN: I don’t care
WILL WIN: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber, “Despacito”November 28, 2017 at 8:53 pm #1202424085
Despacito, but watch out for Something Just Like This.
Thunder and Feel It Still will steal too many votes from one another for either to be this year’s Stressed Out.
Stay’s nomination is its win.November 28, 2017 at 9:40 pm #1202424133
Katy Perry fans on Twitter are very angry because of her getting snubbed. But it was obvious, isn’t it?
It seems like Despacito is the frontrunner of this category but Something Just Like This or Thunder may surprise us. Especially, we consider the current success of Thunder. It still climbing on the charts.November 28, 2017 at 9:44 pm #1202424135
Despacito should take this easily.
As previous posters pointed out, Thunder and Feel It Still are splitting the pop/rock vote. Something Just Like This and Stay are splitting the dance/pop vote, with the former having the edge cos the voters have some hard-on for Coldplay. But I don’t see Something Just Like This winning, since the tune was too similar to Closer/Roses and Chris Martin’s vocals were extremely boring on that song. My personal favourite would be Stay, but it ain’t winning.November 29, 2017 at 8:26 am #1202424575
Spoiler: “Feel It Still”November 29, 2017 at 6:12 pm #1202425083
Should Win: Despacito by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee
Will Win: Despacito by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Feat. Justin BieberNovember 29, 2017 at 6:23 pm #1202425098
Should win: Thunder
Will win: Thunder
This year is an exceptional year. The +12,000 voting members will was not respected in the General Field. The Pop Voters who saw themselves being snubbed by the absence of Pop in the General Field, will try to push artists who they think deserved a General Field nomination; that is Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga to a lesser extent.November 29, 2017 at 6:24 pm #1202425099
Despacito will win this easily. Really miss “I Feel It Coming” in this category.November 30, 2017 at 11:06 am #1202425757

Imagine Dragons couldn’t even get into the rock field for their bigger hit. It is not a travesty that “Thunder, feel the thunder, Lightning and the thunder, thunder” was snubbed in the GF… the song is BAD.
And even the biggest Gaga fans like myself should’ve known she would be lucky to get anything for Joanne.
“Despacito” will win here and it is rightfully nominated in the GF.November 30, 2017 at 11:12 am #1202425769
Thunder “should win”? Seriously?
It MAY wins (altough I don’t think so) but it definitely doesn’t mean it deserves.
It shouldn’t have been nominated. I can’t believe voters took a song that the vocalist singing “Thunder” 80 times seriously.
