Rap is looking very bleak at the moment, barely any contenders have even dropped!

Right now, I’d say Best Rap Album is going to Heroes & Villains by Metro Boomin.

If Her Loss is submitted, it’s in. Would also say that Cardi B, Metro Boomin and Tyler, The Creator are likely to be nominated.

I doubt Metro Boomin will even be a big player like that. He’s more or less another DJ Khaled.

I do think J. Cole is overdue for a Grammy outside of a feature.

Nas will most definitely be nominated for Kings Disease 3. Every album in that series has been nominated and he won for KD1 in 2021

J.Cole is releasing an album this year. That should be another nomination for him

Pusha T has confirmed he’s releasing a Gangsta Grillz tape this year. That should be another shoe in

 

other than that Cardi B, Jay-Z, The Roots, Tyler The Creator, Benny The Butcher, and Childish Gambino are all heavily rumored to be dropping projects. Jay-Z of course, is a walking breathing nominations juggernaut so look out for him and Cardi is a previous winner and extremely popular so she could definitely be a threat.

 

I think Nas, Cole, and Push are pretty much shoe ins at this particular moment

I would be highly upset if Nicki submits to that organization again knowing they weirdly have it out for her so I’m hoping for a J Cole, Kendrick (if he releases), or Lil Wayne win.

If it’s a rap album, they will put it in the rap category. It’s only one female rapper they have a weird obsession with when it comes to blocking and stopping them from getting nominations.
