Not a bad line up but could’ve been much better. Freddie Gibbs, Rapsody, Little Simz snubs kinda bad for this. Shockingly this is Tyler’s only nomination so i think they want to reward him on this.

Igor very likely has this. YBN Cordae is a well-liked underdog and has a slim chance to upset. Dreamville, 21 Savage, and Meek Mill likely appeal to a similar set of voters, so it’s hard to see one of them winning.

It’ll be crazy if Igor wins this since most Hip Hop fans do not see this as a RAP album.

This field is a crap shoot. While I think Igor has a very good chance, it doesn’t have any supporting nominations.

That Dreamville compilation overperformed, 21 Savage has been met with a ton of support and acclaim, and Meek Mill seems to be liked a lot as well (but no supporting nominations).

I think we can cross out the YBN Cordae album. Not big enough to win.

I might need some time to really make a proper prediction here. Right now, I’ll say Tyler, but I might end up predicting the Dreamville compilation since it’s all over the rap field or 21 Savage.

I WANT Igor to win, but many people don’t consider it a true rap album. If it someone loses this award, that will be the main reason why. I’m sure that Meek still has goodwill left from his jail situation, so he’s in this for sure.

Dreamville overperformed by (if you forgive me) a LOT in the rap categories, so maybe that shows that it has very strong support from the rap voters. Not only that, but J. Cole has the overdue factor going for him as well. ROTD 3 might be the least critically acclaimed album in the group, but don’t sleep on it.

YBN Cordae’s album has no chance to win. Moving on.

I Am Greater Than I Was kind of has everything going for it: critical acclaim and obvious support from the voters. That could very well be enough to take it.

A million and one people worked on the Dreamville album… not everyone made the cut, but it seemed like a nourishing experience for all of the artists involved. Hence why I predicted it for a nomination. They simply had a lot of voters attached to the project.

Now, idk if they’ll all vote for themselves as a winner… but I wouldn’t be surprised if managed to win.

Not sure why J. Cole isn’t credited for Dreamville’s album on the Grammy site, but he covers more than 33% of the album, so I would think he would be one of the nominees/winners. It would be a judgment call for the Grammys if it ends up winning.

    Chances of winning:

    1. Tyler, the Creator – 60%
    2. 21 Savage – 25%
    3. Meek Mill – 10%
    4. Dreamville – 5%
    5. YBN Cordae – 0%
