What did that person debunk? In the link I provided you its right there clear as crystal
“In the lead-up to the album’s release, she did an interview with the veteran hip-hop radio host Ebro Darden, in which the two discussed “Be Careful,” a song that riffed on Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor” and portrayed Cardi in a new, emotionally complex light. (Fontaine’s demo track of the song had already leaked online.) “My boy Pardison . . . I told him, ‘I really want this record. I want it for me,’ ” Cardi told Darden. Fontaine, she said, agreed. “Just make sure you kill it,” he told her.
Fontaine wasn’t the “co-writer” of this particular song. He WROTE THE ENTIRE SONG AND CARDI TOOK IT. Utilizing his demo as a reference track.
As a rapper/MC, if one utilizes ghostwriters I do not respect it. Never have never will. Nas was 17 years old when he WROTE Illmatic, one of the greatest albums of all time. Jay-Z runs a label, a sports agency, a streaming service, and STILL finds time to WRITE his own lyrics. There are many female rappers as well that need no ghost in their pens including Megan. Traditionally the only rappers that get a “pass” are producer/rappers like Kanye or Dr Dre, and thats because their focus is on producing the best material possible, but they are NEVER allowed to call themselves the best lyricists or say their top 10.
So Cardi doesn’t write the lyrics.
she doesn’t produce the music
she gets the flow and song structure from a reference trackso…what exactly DOES she do?

Thats wonderful for her. Doesn’t take away from the FACT that she doesn’t write. Again her winning for that year isn’t going to go down as even one of the top ten most egregious examples of an undeserved winner in the Rap Album category.
The ORIGINAL point of the current conversation had little to do with Cardi herself. It was a poster claiming that fans of certain rappers would wild out if those rappers lost. I refuted that claim after Cardi’s win was used an example. There wasn’t a huge backlash against her winning. Especially from rappers who don’t possess such an impassioned fanbase (Pusha T, Nipsey Hussle). The overall attitude and feeling towards her win was “It is what it is. She had a great year”
