Beyoncé’s website hinted at B7 and B8 so I think the next act is definitely an album and the third act can be a double visual album before the tour starts.

I love the original version of “Break My Soul”, but this is absolutely amazing… It just became available on all streamers and iTunes. Not only can you buy it on her site as I originally did, but I donwloaded it on Spotify and got it on iTunes. I’m #obsessed.. This is gonna be huuuuuuuge and I hope it returns the Queen Madonna to the charts too!

I Am… Sasha FierceAugust 6, 2022 at 11:59 am #1205036797Just watched the Kelis Instagram Ranting for the first time. I understand her desire for wanting a heads up even though Beyoncé has no legal obligation or whatsoever to liaise with the performer, everyone is sentimentally attached to their legacy.
However, calling Beyoncé a hypocrite to clap back at the BeyHive was rather shallow of her. A ton of political activities by celebrities are just publicity stunts but Beyoncé has quietly done some altruistic stuffs.
One of such that I’m pretty sure y”all noticed was how Bey used the original version of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” called “Mbube”. The South African writer died a perpetually wretched man after being convinced to sell the song back in 1939. He had no chance of making the song a hit in colonial South Africa as a black man. Disney recently chose to settle the family for an “undisclosed” amount after fans petitioned but Beyoncé’s tactic has now ensured that a fair share of the royalties from her own activities would go to the man’s family. This was not publicised.
We watched Shakira copy “Zangalewa” by a Cameroonian band (Zangalewa) in Waka Waka verbatim without giving them credit. Thanks to the Colombians who spoke up.
Michelle Williams recorded “When Jesus Says Yes”, a song by the an Igbo woman “Agatha Moses”. 4 Americans were listed as the writers.
Fleur East did same with her song “Favourite Thing”, an exact match of “Everybody Blow Your Trumpet”, a song sang in Igbo schools.
In summary, no one is exonerated if we are to view stuff that way.

I Am… Sasha FierceBeyoncé does have a fairly solid discography. With my top four choices all albums I consider at least pretty good. The bottom three are more mixed bags to me, but they do have standout songs.

partly because the production is so, so strong. 24 people (or however many, I’m sure Diane has the figures) in lesser creative hands (I am aware she also has a team around her) would be a total mess. I wasn’t a huge fan before this drop but her evolution as an artist has been amazing. And I’m totally here for her giving zero fucks on this album and supporting the LGBT community. I disagree with those saying she is attempting to commercialise and profit from it. Beyoncé could be accused of that with anything she chose to sing about. And these aren’t simple songs – the lyrics are complex about gay experiences presumably written / co-written by queer people. This should be front runner for album of the year IMO.
