Honey, let’s NOT get delusional! While she may be slightly over it due to losing for Lemonade, Beyoncé has always been thirsty for an Album of the Year win as well as an Emmy, Oscar, and Tony. She could easily have her record label not submit her work for Grammy consideration if she weren’t pressed.
ReplyCopy URLJune 16, 2022 at 8:25 pm #1204987555to suggest that an artist as already successful and rich as beyoncé would spend 6 years trying to make an album with the primary intention of winning a silly trophy is absurd
Exactly. Anyone with even a SHRED of common sense knows this
Also as artists, their SUPPOSED to have the mindset that they are creating the best art they possibly can, which means they are making the best art PERIOD. Beyonce isn’t supposed to be “scared” releasing within the window of Adele or any other artist because she’s supposed to think her own efforts are a match or greater. If the Grammys were a truly fair competition then Beyonce would’ve been had her AOTY trophy. The fact that the Grammys are inherently racist against BLACK artists and the groundbreaking music they create isn’t Beyonce’s problem. Or Kendrick’s. Or even Kanye’s. And to have to have to factor in their release dates to have some sort of strategic “advantage” over their white counterparts is absolutely ridiculous
ReplyCopy URLJune 16, 2022 at 9:17 pm #1204987587The bs on these posts. If anything this is Beyoncé’s most cheap and blantant attempt for AOTY. Dance and country appeal??? Pls how desperate is that. That will probably end up backfiring to her and she wont be winning a thing. None of the AOTY winners had to do and appeal to all that shit. Huge turnoff.
Eh, can we actually hear the damn album first or even a single before y’all start deeming something is ‘desperate”? Y’all will debate Beyoncé down. And honestly, both sides are tired.

ReplyCopy URLJune 18, 2022 at 11:35 pm #1204989578Beyoncé is not thirsty to be a EGOT winner. Anyways, did any of you guys buy the Renaissance Box ? I’ve bought Box #4. I’m honestly excited for this new era. I can tell by her photoshoot with her Vogue Spread, that she’s going to deliver a great album visually and musically.
Beyoncé is known to outdo herself with every album & era. I thought Lemonade was the TOP but I have a feeling Renaissance is gonna be majorly good. She’s been preparing for this album since 2020 I believe.

June 19, 2022 at 11:21 pm #1204990265Beyoncé’s new project is forthcoming, but details are few. Jay-Tidal Z’s streaming service posted a hint Thursday. The message reads, “Beyoncé Renaissance July 29.” Pre-ordering “Renaissance” box sets includes a CD, t-shirt, and 28-page booklet. The potential of new Beyoncé songs has fueled social media frenzy.

“Black Is King” was Beyoncé’s last visual album and a complement to “The Lion King: The Gift.” In Disney’s “Lion King” adaptation, she voiced Nala.
In 2016, she released “Lemonade.”June 20, 2022 at 6:36 am #1204990436“Break My Soul” tonight! Here we go!

By this logic, every mainstream artist besides The Weeknd is desperate to win AOTY and making albums solely to win it???

What do you think
ReplyCopy URLJune 20, 2022 at 7:14 pm #1204991045I’m digging the direction. Just not feeling the execution. It sounds a bit messy like an unfinished demo.
ReplyCopy URLJune 20, 2022 at 7:32 pm #1204991057I think it’s gonna grow on me with time, it’s a fine song, not on the level of anything on her 2 last LPs.
As for the Grammys, I don’t see this winning ROTY and specially not SOTY. And Bey could definitely submit to Best Dance Recording, right?

I believe it’d be eligible there, I’m just curious about how open they would be to start nominating big names again (we did see they allowed Dua & Gaga on the ballot 2 years ago)
ReplyCopy URLJune 20, 2022 at 7:42 pm #1204991074Honey, Beyoncé will NOT happen in Best Dance Recording. The Dance Field stopped allowing Pop/R&B acts to compete as lead artists a decade ago.
