I guess I’m just trying to figure out WHO is streaming it. I didn’t think anyone actually liked this song, and I thought everyone thinks of it as a joke? Is there an actual fanbase?

No. It’s catchy and a meme, which the general public likes. And it’s a short song so every stream it gets its a multiplier of most other songs.

Lil Nas keeps blocking white mediocrity. Taylor, Ed, Logic, Justin Bieber, Shawn. Do my mothafuckin eyes DECEIVE me? We LOVE to see it!

So we should be glad that black trash is beating white mediocrity? 🧐

Honey, I would NOT be surprised if “Old Town Road” also got an Song of the Year nomination a la “Despacito.”

    God forbid

“Despacito” tying OSD for 16 weeks at #1 made sense. It was a HUGE cultural, WW, smash.

OTR, by comparison, isn’t as memorable or significant.

Nightmare and EARFQUAKE have the chance to topple Old Town Road next week, but I highly doubt that it will happen.

Nightmare will literally struggle to debut top 10 girl.

Neither of them are going to be anywhere close.

OTR is predicted to have close to 1k points next week

LMAO! I don’t even think Drake reached that high last year.

People laughed when I said that OTR was going to be on top of the Hot 100 as long as I Will Always Love You was. Not only was I (probably) right, but it could very well pass Despacito and One Sweet Day.

For Perspective Ariana, Halsey and Gaga had their #1 songs with little over 300 points this year.

So if Lil Nas released his song few months earlier none of them would’ve had a #1 lmao

OTR is going to be on top for weeks to come. Even if they both debut in the top five (it’s possible, but I wouldn’t bank on it), they won’t do anything to lessen the grip of OTR on the Hot 100.

7 Rings debuted with +500 points I believe.

But yeah. Lil Nas is too big.
