Drake’s new song debuted with 1.79M streams on Spotify US, which will not be enough for a #1 debut (might even miss the top 5). Old Town Road will have at least 3 more weeks given the EP release.June 17, 2019 at 6:38 am #1202941455
Just few days ago we were talking about Drake saving the record, but now it’s getting clear even he can’t do that.
I’m disgusted but unless something major unexpected happens, it looks like OTR will break the record.June 19, 2019 at 5:30 am #1202943939
Drakes single is debuting below the top 10 so its clear hes not dethroning. Even Taylor’s single is not looking like being no.1 (prediction is top 5) so OTR is coming for mariah and justinJune 19, 2019 at 6:04 am #1202943979
Does anyone else think OTR can beat the 16-week record?? It’s seems unstoppable and it only has another month to go.June 19, 2019 at 6:10 am #1202943989
Unfortunately, it might. It’s still at the top in sales and streams, and airplay is falling way too slow to cause any real damage. Unless something pops up à la “Look What You Made Me Do”, it’ll probably break the record.
It’s only missing 6 weeks, and his EP dropping will boost it up.June 24, 2019 at 6:44 am #1202949574
songs blocked by OTR from #1
ME! by Taylor Swift
If I cant have you by Shawn Mendes
Bad Guy by Billie Eillish
I Dont Care by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber
You need to calm down- Taylor Swift
Senorita- Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello
Some of the biggest names in the industry could not dethrone that meme songJune 24, 2019 at 7:28 am #1202949611
Señorita still has time. I actually think it’ll be the one to dethrone Old Town Road. Big sales, huge streaming, and huge Youtube. Shawn and Camila are beloved by Pop radio so it’ll be a hit there as well.
I doubt it debuts at #1, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it crown the Hot 100 in a couple of weeks when radio eventually surges. It’s already set for a top 5 debut with ~415k units.June 24, 2019 at 8:04 am #1202949648
I called it, Señorita will be huge.Watch Old Town Road lasting 15 weeks at #1, Señorita will dethrone it.June 24, 2019 at 2:11 pm #1202950237
“Old Town Road” spends another week at #1. “You Need to Calm Down” debuts at #2, making it the 2nd Taylor Swift song to be blocked by OTR. With “Señorita” it is likely that Shawn Mendes will also be blocked a 2nd time next week. It’s insane.

Lil Nas X has blocked a living legend from reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 not once, but twice. That is wild.June 24, 2019 at 7:31 pm #1202950460
When the hell will Post Smellyon leave the top 10? He’s been there for like a year already.June 24, 2019 at 7:40 pm #1202950470

I hope Lil Nas X gets 17 weeks at #1. I’m tired of that record being brought up. It’s been long enough. It’s time for something to break it, and “Old Town Road” is clearly one of the biggest songs we have this decade.Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)Participant
