where was the sudden push Interscope was talking about if Bad Guy had lower points from the mid week prediction???
No clue – these aren’t final point totals, just predictions, but still, they are generally very close to accurate, and with that big of a gap, it doesn’t seem there’s been any late push for “Bad Guy” at all. No idea what the HDD article is even referring to; it may just be a way to create a “story” when there isn’t really a close race yet.August 18, 2019 at 11:44 am #1203029003

Someone on Popcrave’s comments had a good point on why Bad Guy could get #1. The late push was adding vinyl/cassette bundle on her merch store and discounting the single on Amazon. Simon (the one who makes the predictions charts) only included streaming/radio numbers and not the all the purchases which is more important than streaming. These were available on Wednesday and the streaming week ends Thursday nights. So, most likely the push in sales came from people actually purchasing and not streaming and its likely that these numbers haven’t been included yet, especially since HDD said that this will likely change on MONDAYS charts. and the cassette bundle is totally sold out on her website.
unless this is wrong lol.

If BG was going to dethrone OTR this week, Billboard would’ve written an article on it by now.August 18, 2019 at 12:39 pm #1203029035
The YouTube streams for OTR will probably be enough to secure a 20th week at #1.August 19, 2019 at 1:14 pm #1203030425

Well, that was unexpected.
Bad Guy has been one of my favourite songs of the year, so it’s totally deserved. I’m a bit mad that the longest weeks at #2 without reaching #1 record won’t be broken though, lol.August 19, 2019 at 1:32 pm #1203030453
Señorita is probably going #1 next week. I’m hoping Truth Hurts can the following week with the help of a VMA performance.August 19, 2019 at 1:52 pm #1203030493
So glad “Bad Guy” went #1. Very deserving.

This is super surprising. I thought Billie had no chance after the final predictions came out on Saturday. I’m very happy for her finally getting a #1 hit. Also, who in the hell predicted OTR to go down to #3 below Bad Guy and Senorita?August 19, 2019 at 2:28 pm #1203030566
I thought Billie had no chance after the final predictions came out on Saturday.
Those predictions didn’t account for physical cassette singles which likely gave her the edge
