“God’s Plan” still only #17 on the radio chart.

    Yay, Bebe!

Been waiting years for a proper new music video from Drake.  Nothing for “Jumpman”, “Summer Sixteen”, “Controlla”, “Too Good”, “Fake Love”, “Passionfruit”, “Signs” or the biggest hit of his career: “One Dance”.  Even “Hotline Bling” came out too late to get him to number one.  So “God’s Plan” is sticking around for a while.  Of course he uploaded the music video to two official YouTube channels though :/

Meanwhile, “River” receives no surge in America (still doing well in Canada and Britain).  That will teach Eminem to make a seven-minute video for a song just over half as long. R.I.P. Revival.

BON JOVI’s latest album, “This House Is Not For Sale” , which debuted at No. 1 in 2016, has officially returned to the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s new single, “When We Were Us”, is also the most-added at AC radio this week.

According to Billboard, “This House Is Not For Sale” re-entered the chart with 120,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending March 1.

    Per Billboard:

“The LP re-enters atop the Billboard 200 with 120,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending March 1, according to Nielsen Music. Essentially all of its sum is traditional album sales. The surge back to No. 1 is owed nearly entirely to sales generated by a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer accompanying Bon Jovi’s upcoming U.S. arena tour.”

Even with this loophole, this is quite an achievement. The rules were made to be broken, and chart manipulation gives me so much life.

Prince was the first to do this back in 2004/2005 with Musicology.

Well, they’re in fine company. And “You Want to Make a Memory” is oh so luscious.

Yep, Prince did that stunt first with his “Musicology” album and tour. Still the best concert I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime! Legend!!!
