She should submit for alternative field.
alternative is more towards “smaller” releases IMO as well as not pop stars. The only one who faired well in recent memory is Fiona Apple and St.Vincent but with both projects they won with were smaller, rockier, and more niche. Anyways she will submit to pop as most of her singles have been pop leaning with the exception of Your Power
Call Me If You Get Lost
Dawn of Chromatica
Donda (My Version)
For the First Time
Sinner Get Ready
Sometimes I Might Be Introvert

The more I listen the more I hear a chill, emotive, well-executed album overall. It simply isn’t the type of work that should be getting 90+ on MC though. There isn’t anything idiosyncratic, groundbreaking, peerless, challenging or brilliant going on here. Then again, MC don’t mean all that much nowadays.
She will need longevity for this not to be considered a semi-flop by her selling expectations. It may be difficult to get that though. There’s not an obvious hit here. I do think she killed the hype by releasing so many songs, picking the songs they picked as singles and stretching out the promotion.
This is obviously not going Alternative. She’s still too big and mainstream and is coming off of pop wins just a couple years ago.August 1, 2021 at 7:03 am #1204374859

Keep dreaming! There is nothing alternative about Happier Than Ever. That crap will be placed in Pop.August 1, 2021 at 9:18 am #1204375054
Question? Why the hell didn’t the label release Oxytocin as the lead?! Failure of an opportunity! It’s the bapp that was needed! Definitely the 911 of the record!

Sometimes I do not understand record company and or artists choices for singles. Picking a single is never easy but it’s like they purposely pick the wrong song.August 1, 2021 at 6:44 pm #1204376156
Oxytocin has pop radio written all over it, this really should’ve been made a single!August 1, 2021 at 10:11 pm #1204376410
