Good for Billie I guess, for at least spending multiple weeks at #1. Hopefully “Happier Than Ever” (song) helps the album achieve more longevity.

It is good drop, not brutal. But this is projection, final numbers on Friday.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 10, 2021 at 3:17 pm #1204390640It’s going to be a little harder for her but I still won’t count out Billie. She’s at least guaranteed for a nomination. A win, is going be different.

How is it a good drop? I wouldn’t say brutal but it’s not good either. I’m not trying to compare them or anything but if that’s a good drop then how would you describe Sour’s second week numbers?
ReplyCopy URLAugust 10, 2021 at 5:52 pm #1204390779Honey, as expected, Billie Eilish fell hard in her second week. She will continue to plummet down the charts week after week. YAY!

I think Sour is unique case, all the album was pulling huge numbers, in this case it is the title track only. We have to see further on how it holds, I see 30,000 pure for second week, that is good, maybe she will have pure sales support over the run. We have to wait a bit.

Honey, get real! She is still winning at least 1 Grammy for it regardless of sales.

Honey Billie overperformed with a hit single that is being promoted now to radio with potential and the album served bit of hold. It is one of the times that even Gucci was wrong. ☺️

My point is I’d described Sour’s drop as good. I won’t describe a much worse drop the exact same way. I agree that we have to wait months to see how it is selling in order to truly talk about it.
August 15, 2021 at 1:48 pm #1204398276Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever holds atop the Billboard 200 albums chart for a second week on top, as the set earned 85,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Aug. 12 (down 64%), according to MRC Data. The album debuted at No. 1 a week ago with 238,000 units – the fifth-largest week of 2021 for an album. Happier Than Ever is the second album released in 2021 to spend its first two weeks at No. 1, following Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album (which spent 10 weeks at No. 1, all consecutive, from its debut on the Jan. 23-dated chart).
August 15, 2021 at 8:20 pm #1204398513Honey, Billie Eilish’s album sales are NOT a good look. Happier Than Ever will be completely forgotten by November.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 16, 2021 at 12:49 pm #1204399371This album should win BPVA next year. Olivia’s album is so basic and derivative. Billie is much more creative and this is so much better.

Honey, you said the exact same thing about Folklore and it ended up winning Album Of The Year!
