THEY BETTER NOT. Wouldn’t surprise me tho, HOWEVER, BTS are not only featured performers but co-writers, this a true collab, Korean verses & all….all the radio & media posturing in the world won’t change that. Bangtan will still win right along w/ Coldplay when this is a certified HUGE HIT.

However, Coldplay might submit Higher Power this year & MU next year. At least that’s what I hope they do.

Forgot abt Higher Power (sorry to any coldplay fan here!). If they submit MU next year then they better push this song HARD for 2023 bc competition looks tough.

OR they might submit MU for GF only this year. If the song gets good reception (and since it will be released within days of the eligibility period to end) i can see a possible nomination.

PTD is a good MV with a good message. Idk if this has happened with anyone here, but the more live performances, the more i like the song.

Same for me. The vocal processing isn’t my cup of tea so I don’t enjoy the studio version. However, the lives don’t have the processing so I enjoy the song more that way.

Just a random sentiment that ran into my mind.

BTS doesn’t need the grammys when they have world leaders fanboying/fangirling over them, including the president of their country. World leaders!

Western artists can enjoy their awards while BTS become diplomats.

Here is the thing, with 3 songs in contention for nomination I would like the following to happen in terms of submissions:

-SOTY: My Universe/PTD
-ROTY: Butter
-BDPGP: My Universe/Butter
-BMV: PTD

Now, do you know what would be good and a fever dream? LGO getting submitted for SOTY.

Cutting the korean parts out in radio would make the song so awkward.

 

Apparently Selena Gomez is on the album as well so they’ll probably submit that song next year instead and MU will be this year.

 

Yes BTS doesn’t need a Grammy at all, but I still want them to get one.

Amen, that’s it. Honestly, ARMYs as a whole I think couldn’t care less but to our 7 it seems to matter, a Grammy is like a final frontier for them. Western validation & acceptance, the gatekeeping they next want to deconstruct. They’ve really accomplished most all else on their bucket list, their bag is hella trophies, hella thick. To be real tho, today’s events galvanized so much of what will be important about their legacy. They are truly the voice of a generation, pure advocates for equality, inclusivity. What they have accomplished is legendary in it’s own time. Still, they want Grammy acceptance, peer inclusion, I hope they get it, eventually…will still be a footnote tho, IMO. PTD, LGO, Butter, whatever, just manifesting & living on a dream & a prayer.

All that aside, My Universe could be their hall pass. I’m thinking ROTY.
