Disco Grammy – and if category existed earlier – who should have been nominated?

The Disco category only existed for one year after lobbying by Donna Summer and the nominees were:

Gloria Gaynor – I Will Survive – WINNER
Earth, Wind & Fire with The Emotions – Boogie Wonderland
Michael Jackson – Don’t Stop Til’ You Get Enough
Rod Stewart – Do Ya Think I’m Sexy
Donna Summer – Dim All The Lights

I can see how Gloria Gaynor won this because this song was everywhere and it was nominated for Record and Song of the Year as well as Pop Female.

I do think that if the Disco song category existed, then Donna Summer would have probably have been nominated for Last Dance and won.
