Justin Bieber made a huge comeback in 2015 with his album “Purpose”, which top the Billboard 200 chart, while its singles “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry”, both top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and “Love Yourself” on its way to do the same. I think his music is more tolerable now, thanks to Skrillex and Diplo.
Do you think Justin Bieber will get nominated at next year’s grammys?January 19, 2016 at 2:32 am #415834
The pop categories for sure. The general field would depend on what’s to come.January 19, 2016 at 8:21 am #415835
There should be a ‘not most nominated, but still in the general field’ option. You can’t deny he made an excellent comeback, matured greatly, and made a huge impact – (plus the albums not half bad either) I’d expect some major category nominations and I’d say whatever he gets is well deserved.January 19, 2016 at 9:10 am #415836
He might. I find it funny that 1D or Nick Jonas doesn’t get Grammy nominations but Bieber does. He’s part of the same damn group. In all honesty, he probably will. For societys sake, no! Hell no! Absolutely, positively no! Noooooooo!!!!!!January 19, 2016 at 9:24 am #415837
I voted yes to the Pop stuff….but you can never tell.January 19, 2016 at 11:35 am #415838
He’ll absolutely get some Pop Field nominations, that’s without a doubt.
It remains to be seen if he get can get ROTY, SOTY, or AOTY nominations. Purpose has been one of the most commercially successful albums of the eligibility period, aside from 25.January 19, 2016 at 3:08 pm #415839
Justina Bieber will get relegated to the Pop field (most likely Best Pop Vocal Album).January 19, 2016 at 3:12 pm #415840
Pop album I think is 3/4 locked for now (mature sound, past nom)
Pop solo is props Sorry cause think they’ll pull an Adele and put LY in GF
Probably the feeling is going to be single 4 and duo group nominee
LY might get SoTY for the multi genre appeal and Sheeran co write
Also (how 1D and Nick have only had 1 nom between them is beyondJanuary 19, 2016 at 8:57 pm #415841
Likelihood of Nominations:
1. Best Pop Vocal Album (near-lock)
2. Best Pop Solo Performance (very likely)
3. Album of the Year
4. Best Pop Group Performance (If “The Feeling” is single #4 or #5)
5. Song of the Year
6. Record of the Year
7. Best Music Video, Short-FormJanuary 20, 2016 at 12:40 am #415842
I would love if he gets into AOTY, SOTY, Pop Album and Pop Solo and Best Music Film.
Love Yourself seems like a lock for an ideal SOTY contender, not to mention it has credits from Grammy favorite Ed Sheeran. Sorry is Pop Solo frontrunner for Males at the moment. He will probably lose the Pop nods to Adele but the nominations would be his reward for a groundbreaking comeback.
AOTY – Purpose
SOTY – Love Yourself
Pop Solo – Sorry
He also has an outside shot at submitting to the R&B field as well.

Justin will only be nominated in the pop categories. He will probably receive 4 noms at the most. It’s so many other artists coming with better material.January 20, 2016 at 9:00 pm #415844
AOTY is possible considering the strong sales and heavy radio airplay.
He’s certainly in for Pop Album and Solo for either “Sorry” or “Love Yourself”.January 21, 2016 at 11:56 am #415845
Highly doubt he’ll get any ROTY or SOTY nominations. Though if he does, it’ll probably be for “Love Yourself” (even though I prefer “Sorry” – it doesn’t really have the lyrical quality of a SOTY song)January 24, 2016 at 11:01 am #415846
I can’t see any GF nominations, but I’m sure he will get Pop ones as long as he keeps the momentum going this year.January 24, 2016 at 3:35 pm #415847
At this stage I’d put Purpose among the Album of the Year contenders but as the year passes by and more new material comes, it might miss the line-up.
He’s a sure lock for Pop Vocal Album and Pop Solo Performance, though.
