Personally changed everything towards the better. The production. The lyrics. Her stage presence. And if you’re look for powerhouse singers look towards Beyoncé or Adele. This is someone who’s bringing something new to pop atm, like Billie Eilish in 2019.

I think in this era she released some catchy songs. The 3 singles were good
But I do agree with the stage presence. in fact that was my main problem with her last video
She seemed bored during the whole thing. But maybe is her concept?

Her stage presence and dancing was literally awful a during her last era and she took the harsh criticism and improved a lot! She worked hard and improved

There is a lot powerful vocalist you can listen to if that is what your into. At the end of the day it all comes down to if your a good artist or not and DUA is.

This grew on me so much. Love love love the verses. Great opener.
Don’t Start Now – 9/10
This took a while to grow on me but now it’s great. ROTY nom incoming.
Cool – 9.5/10
This is phenomenal. The pre-chorus and way she says ‘cool’ are some highlights.
Physical – 9.5/10
Not much to say that I haven’t already other than the bridge is pure bliss.
Levitating – 9.5/10
Caught me off guard at the pre-chorus. Love the groove here. Quickly becoming my favorite off the album.
Pretty Please – 6/10
Another nice groove and change of pace but a far weaker hook than the rest.
Hallucinate – 8/10
Another great pre-chorus and very solid overall though I wish the chorus had more of a punch. Maybe a longer pause before the start of the chorus would have worked?
Love Again – 9.5/10
The vibe and production are incredible. Love the hook here. Very instant and catchy. This feels like a better version of the switch-up/feeling that Pretty Please was going for.
Break My Heart – 8.5/10
Good choice for the next single. Catchy and fun. The part where she pauses before saying ‘oh no’ in the chorus is excellent. Waiting for the “I should have stayed. at. home” part to go viral on TikTok.
Good In Bed – 7.5/10
Love the “bad bad bad bad bad” part in the chorus. Would be higher but it doesn’t really fit in the album if that makes sense?
Boys Will Be Boys – 8.5/10
Lovely closer. Great chorus and the backing vocals in the bridge are wonderful. Only complaint is the “girls will be women” line feels clunky.
Best Tracks: Levitating, Cool, Physical, Love Again
Worst Tracks: Pretty Please, Hallucinate, Good In Bed
Overall: 9/10
The fact that Don’t Start Now wasn’t under Best Tracks says something about how good this album is.

I would’ve agreed with you six months ago! This was the easiest way to describe her, but when Don’t Start Now came out she completely flipped her career around. She showed she could actually perform with her EMA performance (sure it’s not as extravagant as someone like Lady Gaga, but it’s perfect for her), and the music video for Physical really solidified just how much she has improved.
Not to mention she’s been completely unproblematic, just wanting to share the music she loves with her fans! She put out a fun dance/pop record when everyone else has been doing slower songs with trap beats. She’s definitely standing out in all the right ways in my opinion.
